Kate, open Outlook (Hotmail, LiveMail) via http://uk.msn.com/ in any browser on any computer device - you will need your username and password to sign in if you do not visit regularly.

Once in Outlook click on the Deleted folder, this should bring up a blank folder. Down at the bottom you will see:
"Lost a message? When you recover deleted messages, we bring back as many as we can. Learn more"
The words "recover deleted messages" are in a different colour and provides a link to a recovery folder - click on "recover deleted messages".
In the list of e-mails recovered look for the one(s) you want to save. Left click and 'drag and drop' them back to your Inbox.

Going direct to Outlook (the new site for Hotmail or LiveMail) should also allow you to read any messages on your big computer.

Edited to fix broken MSN link.
