Well Ria, just think of all the times when I'm sitting there in the freezing pouring rain. Paying my price for my faster journey...

Also metal plates and rain make for exceptionally dangerous riding. It's a hazard without all the people sitting in comfort getting annoyed that those who brave the elements and the lunatics get faster travel.

In a month or so I'm going to be broiling slowly in my black jacket and trousers as all those "irritated motorists" sit in their air conditioned cars...

I'll take the trade.

#1 son, police officer, has advised me to make the complaint now and update when I get details.

He's just passed his bike test and is doing his direct access now. To complete direct access you "must" be able to filter through the traffic safely......

So not only is filtering legal, it's a requirement for completing the advanced portion of your bike test which allows you to ride unrestricted bikes....

Makes the ranting of the car driver about "weaving through the traffic" come into context and my challenge that he didn't even know the highway code.

#1 son says make the complaint and he might even be stupid enough to tell the police what he told me. Namely that he believed that so long as he stayed within his white line he could drive however he wanted and it was OK..
