Wow Ton, that is a huuuuge fire then!!!! Much better to lock up the idiots, shame they don't still do that

Sorry about the football thing - boys will be boys though! (((x))) Glad that J, K and Scarlett all got home safely, annoying about the car though. Was it accidental or deliberate, do they know? :o

Good morning all.

It's cloudy, dry and bright here. Don't know how it will turn out.

Ton - I think that the real trouble today is that punishments for crimes are just not severe enough.
Every day one hears of someone re-committing a crime, and courts letting them free to re-offend.
Bring back the Birch, I say.

Hope you all have a good day.

Debbie, go back to bed after you've had your beauty treats :D

Ally, do all you can to change Don's mind. Renovating is hell on earth....why do you think we now live in a new build? Been there, done that and got the very dusty, ripped, paint splattered tshirt.

Saundra, what a shame about the car. That's something John always worries about with airport parking. Did they have a good holiday though?

Kaz, I hope D's doing better today xx As for tshirts, I remember when my aunt's grandson was living with her she counted more than 70 in his room and I thought that was ridiculous but seeing Tom...maybe it's not  Funnily enough though I was only saying to John last night that I might pop into Birmingham next week to pick up some new tshirts for Joe for his holiday  He doesn't own anywhere near as many though, and does like to wear his football top.

It hasn't brightened up any here yet, and it's got quite breezy - the washing is spinning around in the garden.

Afternoon all, grey dreary drizzley day here, which suits my mood as I have some kind of lurgy. I was awake for hours during the night as my nose blocked and unblocked itself  Got up as usual and did a few bits, went to the shops and post office but went back to bed for a while when I got home. Been doing nothing much since then, although I did book a concert in Nashville, one of the stars of the Nashville tv series - it's a charity gig and he put it on Twitter last night, so I had my finger poised over my ipad when booking opened at 4pm our time today as it seems to be quite a small venue.

Of course not! I'm already planning, although we go away much sooner than you do.......the 16th ;) ;)

Jen, I'm sorry to tell you that we still have glitches, the main one at the moment being a leaking fan over the shower.

Enjoy your cruise, Cruiser :)

Gosh, I haven't really thought about holiday clothes yet - apart from the cossie and matching cover-up I got in Boots for 75% off on Monday     Did I mention we are off to Rhodes, first week of October? :?: :P ;)

Not spoken to D yet today Jo, am planning to ring her this evening, but she was feeling a lot better already yesterday, and the new teeth were a great success 8-) :)

I was just walking up to Sainsbury's when Emma texted me, and as we seemed to have a lot to text/talk about we met up for a cuppa there - saved all that texting ;)   Since I got back I've hoovered the stairs and landing, got the washing in, and then ran out of steam :P
