Good morning all.

It's pouring with rain here now, so we won't be having our usual Sunday morning walk.

This afternoon we are going to the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham to see the famous
Spanish Riding School. We are really looking forward to it, as we both love horses. The weather won't bother us much as we will have a taxi.

Hope you all have a lovely day, in spite of the weather.

There are some nice days on here!
Not much planned here today but we are having a nice family Sunday dinner later.
Dull grey and chilly here. Was there a storm lat night? It's all very quiet now anyhow.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

We had gale force winds and driving rain all night, lots of banging and clanging outside, we were surprised to see things mainly intact this morning :o

It's dry but very windy this morning, what a great excuse to have a lovely long lie in ......not that we need one

No plans for today, might have another go at unpacking boxes, depends how we feel as the day goes on.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning :)
A very wild, wet and windy night here, it's still going but much quieter and the rain has stopped for now, it will be back with a vengeance later.
Thankfully we don't need to go out at all, we've bacon and baguette for lunch, and some more beef casserole from the freezer for dinner, perfect stormy weather food :D
A few odd jobs have been done, the bedding's in washing/drying so I can look forward to sinking into that lovely just-washed smell tonight :)

Aggers that show should be fantastic, I'm sure you'll enjoy it :)
Ally well done with your course, I know you're fluent but it must be hard going concentrating in Spanish for that long. Really useful thing to have done too :)
Jo I now have a little notice stuck to the glass of our front door, saying 'Please knock loudly'. I did it when the hearing went in one ear, but it's a good thing anyway, I got fed up with timid taps while I was in the garden or upstairs.
Hope you all escape the worst of the weather

Di, it came about half an hour ago and the Amazon man rang the bell and immediately knocked really loudly! That's a good idea though, I'll do that in future. Must say I'm pretty impressed with Amazon Prime. We took it out on monthly subscription a couple of weeks ago so that John and Joe could watch The Grand Tour, but John's found other things to watch which he's really enjoying, the Amazon exclusive productions. I was up far to late the other night listening to the included music streaming too.I've ordered three things since we took it out, all ordered at night and all have been delivered the following morning with no delivery charge.

Love your menu for today Di!

Hi all - flying solo this morning as Tom's gone to the farm...he was up at 5! More fool him I reckon...m

We're watching the littlies this aftie as John is in nights later and usually grabs a few hours sleep in the day before he goes to work, and D is doing an extra shift at work. The kids will be here about 3...John is going to do a little DIY job for me and then pop home for his kip.....Jen is at work and she's doing a split shift, frst part finishes at 2.30 and the second starts at 5, so she has a couple of hours to kill - I'm meeting her in town for a coffee to help ;) :D

I've already been out this morning - nipped to Hartlepool but couldn't get what I wanted (really should have had it for John this afternoon....typical!) Hopefully it won't matter and he can do the job anyway. It must have rained a lot during the night - the road I use to get to H'pool is a back road and it was full of puddles! No wind and the occasional shower up to now today.

That does sound like good service from Amazon Jo! Ahh I remember when Jen was about 16 and she went to Leeds to see PATD - it was hit and miss if I'd allow her to go as a few weeks earlier she'd had a 'party' in the house while we'd been away overnight - I was really angry with her and she didn't know if I'd stop her going. I didn't as it turned out, but I made her sweat for a bit!!

Have a good day all!!! 8-) :D

Afternoon all :D Bright and sunny here today but really cold brrrrrrrr. We were up early - there is a charity auction today in the pub next door, a fundraiser for the local hospice which is an annual event. We donated three paintings and some prints which we had decided not to use, there were people arriving early to organise the day so I was able to pop in and give them the pictures.

After breakfast we headed out to Aldi as they had some good bargains in golf stuff. I picked up a few Christmas bits too, and we got our first mince pies. When we came back I went for a walk on the pier, really chilly  thank goodness I was well wrapped up. I've just sorted my holiday photos into an album on FB and now I might do some knitting plus I need to take up a pair of jeans if I get around to it. Pork chops, mash and green beans for dinner. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everyone :)
