There's what looks like a trail of blood on the path off the estate onto the common and it continues along a track there which used to be used to access the old quarry, and on that bit there are large amounts of it. Very strange.

Ooo heck - sounds like something (animal perhaps?) has had a fight or some sort of attack and has tried to hide away....wonder if it's hiding in deep undergrowth close to where you noticed the trail begin?

Gorgeous day here! Cold - I had to keep my coat on for almost two hours after I got to work - there isn't CH, only heaters and of course they'd not been on since Saturday lunchtime so it was Baltic in there!

Have a good week and I hope the poorlies feel much better soon xx

We eat loads of fruit, and I love oranges.

It was a struggle to get Billy past the blood and as we walked along a path away from that area I turned and saw a man with a Labrador having the same struggle. When we were walking back towards there I could see two people with dogs, talking and pointing at the ground.

I wondered that too Gal, there are quite a few foxes around here (we see them around the estate as well) and rabbits and squirrels too. The trail lessened as it went along the path towards the street.
