When was he last given flea treatment and what was he given - could also be a reaction to that?

Before I adopted him Ria - he was wormed and de-flea-ed prior to me meeting him, so I don't know what they used. I asked the vet about it anyway, he thought it would heal up fine without his collar on for a bit, he advised then trying him with it again once his neck was clear, and if it happened again to get a collar made of different material. Main thing is, he didn't seem unduly concerned and told me he was a healthy little cat :D I need to keep his ears clear of wax by using a cotton bud now and then to gently clean them - if he'll let me! But he's quite good at letting you touch him and such......mind you, he must've been really nervous this time in the car as he messed inside his carrier before we got there! Poor vet nurse had to clean it out while we were being seen, and then of course he was in a mess himself - little lad slept all the way back :) :(

I've been for a latte and a toasted teacake since, and then popped to Sainsburys to see if they had anything nice in the 25% off section - I got a top and some leggings 8-)
