No Di, Mick tells me that B has booked a table for next Sunday, being Mothers Day, and she's made sure she isn't working, and D is coming too, so a family meal out then :) I don't want to sabotage two Monday weigh-ins on the trot

We had a mooch in Cheltenham, a bite in The Bridge cafe, I spent my birthday money from D on earrings and perfume, but it was blooming cold out so we ditched the idea of a longer walk! We've eaten rather too much lemon drizzle in front of a documentary by Lucy Worsley on royal clothing through the ages, and then Shop Well For Less on the iPlayer :D

Sounds like a lovely day Kaz!! xx

It's been a tiresome weekend. Hard going. I'll get there. Had the two littlies down for an hour this afternoon, not seen either of them in weeks, but it was great - we played hide and seek in the house and took the dog for a walk, Lily took her dolly's buggy along, minus dolly, LOL, and she had NO DUMMY so we had a lovely little conversation going  I'll likely see her briefly tomorrow as her childminder takes her past our shop to toddler group.

Jen is calling shortly to take all of her sewing malarkey to Kyle's. I have wished for this day for so long, but of course it means she won't be home much longer, at least while she's still working at the Uni, although she has five weeks holiday now and is off to Amsterdam with two girlfriends next week. My house will go back to being cardboard box and Arch lever file free!!! :D :D I'll be back next week saying I have empty nest syndrome. Again.

Dry and quite bright here. I have washing out.

We had a nice afternoon in Birmingham. We looked in the bike shop in The Mailbox and then had a walk around the canals by Brindley Place, through the ICC and out by the library. I wanted to see the view of the museum and art gallery building from that direction. It's always been hidden from that direction by the old library and will shortly be hidden again as the new building work progresses. It's a shame really as it's beautiful. From there we walked down to Second Cup on New St. Coffee and walnut cake and a latte for John and a lemon muffin and mint green tea for me, all very nice. Then down to the Apple Store for a new phone for Joe, then a walk back to the car. We only went in two shops - the shame of it!

Knackered of Encalho here

My back has given up - I've weeded and weeded, moved logs, cleared after Grumpy strimmed the garden, made a lovely lamb bbq, with black beans, presunto, onions from the garden, washed up and now relaxing, with a wine or 6

It was a lovely quite hot day, we have another good day tomorrow, then cold, wet and not nice for the rest of the week.

And my friends, who had a fire in the old camper van, decided to take the new on into a lake, for a swim
