Absolutely stifling down here in the Vale this evening. Even Profundo Basso, the pigeon who sits on our TV aerial and sings seductive arias down our chimney, has been reduced to hunched-up misery and the occasional hiccup ....

Managed to wander down to the station at lunchtime to view the second of this weekend's steam locomotive charters, but the 15 minutes walk there and 15 minutes back was debilitating and necessitated a two-hour afternoon snooze! :shock: :D

Been a beautiful day here I kept going outside for my dose of vitamin C when the adverts where on tv whole watching men on bikes in the alps
Now we have the heady smoke of BBQ iv shut the door
But this coming weeks weather looks very wet :roll:
