It was a gentle afternoon, very enjoyable. There was a hot buffet, waitress served, vol-au-vents, sausage rolls, chicken strips, mini pizzas, that sort of thing, with rice and salad. Then there was the cake tent. This was pick it yourself (PIY) from eleven choices - lemon drizzle to scones and clotted cream. I now need a long sit down in bottoms with an elasticated waist.

Glad you had a great time WM. I've been really busy this weekend and Mrs S is being incredibly irritating about any computer use of mine. She's sitting there playing cards on her laptop whilst decrying more than 5-10 minutes of me sitting behind the screen...

Ah well. Having just hosted a garden party, I'm glad the "serving wenches" were a good experience...
