Good afternoon. thoughts to Ally and Don.
Grey and rainy here, just been on the phone to my friend Pete who has had both his hips replaced. I think he's regretting having both of them done at the same time now, he can barely move and is in a lot of pain. He had the op on the 2nd and was out by the 6th. He's happy to be out of hospital and is recouperating at his dad's in Hartlepool.
MrsC has gone of for coffee and cake with a chum so I'm minding the fort. Hoping that you are having a good day.

Good evening. Thinking of Ally and Don, having helped Mrs S though this twice I try to block out the fact that both my parents are approaching this age. Fortunately in fairly good health right now.

Life is a rollercoaster right now. It's 22:18 and I still haven't started the work I need to do in the club (Union Jack), prior to getting some sleep. I have to move rooms tomorrow morning then Leave again on Thursday and head for Paris. We're supposed to go live on the 27th November.... We're nowhere near and it's beginning to tell. I spend an hour tonight playing the room lottery on the UJclub booking site. Just two days left which I can't get a room for up to December 1st.

It was Mrs S' "significant" birthday on Thursday and I travelled up on Friday to give her the Birthday presents. Fortunately she was gracious about it as I bought her an iPad Pro plus a Diamond and Ruby pendant with a 22ct hallmarked white gold chain from Browns in Stratford. Her only comment, aside from thank you, was "are we broke now"....

I managed to get on the wrong train on Friday (brain in neutral), fortunately it was going up the east coast too and fortunately Newark is only 15 miles from Grantham. On Sunday the trains were a mess and East Midlands messed up my first class ticket from Nottingham and I wound up doing musical chairs for a few stops. However I made it with good time so my evening was not too wrecked.

Today I picked up my latest toy. I wanted a replacement watch but I've been looking for a replacement for my Microsoft Band2, which is sitting in its box waiting for an opportune time to sell it. I found a Fitbit surge on ebay, unwanted gift, 75 pounds off. It is also an XL band which is great for me as I'm always struggling with watch band sizes. Picked it up at the ITV offices at Waterloo this morning and it's all set up and going. It was completely new including still being stuck to the mount inside the box.

I'm keen to know how my sleeping is going because, to be short, it sucks right now.

Hope everyone is having a good time, I'm off downstairs to see if I can do something about moving rooms tomorrow as I don't want to pack everything up, pull it out tomorrow, pack it again Thursday and then start again all over on Sunday.
