Morning all :D

The snow's all gone and it looks a lot nicer outside.

We're planning to pop over to M&S this morning, think rain's forecast later so keeping fingers crossed it stays dry long enough for us to get there and back. No other plans, expect I'll flop in front of the box and watch a film this afternoon. Roast chicken for dinner later, we don't usually have it much before 6ish. Dancing on Ice and Call the Midwife this evening.

Have a good day :D

Morning all, it's just a normal grey rainy day now, with added muck and dirt  Mr Osc is feeling better and thinks he will be able to go dancing this afternoon - one of the Blackpool Tower organists is playing, he travels over in his motor home and was stuck in Holyhead for seven hours yesterday while sailings were postponed and cancelled. He finally left just before 10pm last night. He will get extra applause this afternoon! At least the few days at home meant we caught up on some Oscar nominated movies over the last couple of days ;)

Happy Sunday all

Well the snow here had gone by yesterday evening, we had a bit of rain and it washed most of it away; then it was fairly warm and sorted out the last bit. A sort of lazy Sunday; I am meant to be cleaning but doing it bit by bit - the house really could do with a top to toe spring clean but it's just that bit too nippy still to have the doors open long enough for floors to dry if I use the steam mop; i know they do eventually dry just fine, but with the cats its best to have doors open for quicker drying otherwise you just end up with paw prints all over :D

Enjoy the rest of the day all x

Well, that was nice! :D
After our bacon baguettes we went to the farm shop, took Minnie with us and back along the road to Milford on sea.
Had a lovely walk along the seafront :D
I promise you, whatever size the cobwebs after our enforced imprisonment have well and truly been blown away :D

The thaw set in yesterday here, and by this morning the snow was very much reduced. The pavements still looked a bit treacherous where the snow had been impacted, but today we have had brief sunny interludes, and the snow has mostly now melted apart from shady spots where the wind had piled it up into drifts. Just got to watch last vestiges of ice.

Got to Waitrose for opening time this morning and the place was already humming, as busy as a pre-Christmas shopping day! Pretty much fully stocked although loaves were a bit in short supply. Plenty of fresh milk.

Most people were buying a fair old bit, but the couple in front of me at the till, however, had bought just one item - a single bottle of organic cider!! Must have been desperate!
