Morning Ally and everyone

Lovely sunny morning, but with a brisk, rather chilly wind   once it warms up,will be lovely 8-)

Grumpy making a noise already 8-) digging a hole in the concrete, to lay a pipe. I'll be doing the last of the weeding this morning then rooting out our summer clothes and giving them a rinse out and then ironing, no doubt.

Will be supporting Portugal tonight, will probably watch it at home, rather than down at the bar. Too many English in there, probably

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning :)
Clear blue skies and sunshine here, yesterday cleared beautifully too.

Meeting a couple of friends for coffee, at the garden centre with the tree fountain.
Then to the hospital for an mri head scan, won't get results till a week Tuesday, as next week is my week off :)

Hope you all have a good day

Morning all :)

Enjoy the footie (ugh  ) Ally and Jan ;)

Beautiful weather predicted for us too Di, it sounds just right for your trip to that lovely garden centre :D Hope your scan goes ok, and :D :) for the week off xxx

Looks like a lovely day here! Will be food shopping with D, and later on doing some ironing and cleaning here, but will fit a nice sit out in the garden, in the sun, at some point. B and I are cat sitting for next door this weekend :) Just popping in twice a day to feed - and get a stroke if we're lucky, although Kat seems to prefer B to me  Animals always take to her :) Sue is dropping a key round this morning.

Have a good day everyone :) c.f.

Bear up Kaz, it's only for a couple of weeks! :D

Our plumber is coming soon t fit us a new tap and at some point today we're going to report a dangerous tree. A branch fell off it yesterday and nearly brained our neighbour Sergio. Unfortunately it's on private land so doubtless the council will say they can't do anything, but we'll try anyway. The family who's garden it is in are a pit unusual; they have 14ft conifers around their garden as well. When asked why they said if they cut them down they could "only" have a six foot fence instead and they wouldn't have their privacy. OK, but 14ft conifers?

Anyway, it's a lovely morning and I'm off to the garden centre. Have a good one!

Morning all and happy Friday

I'm with Kaz on the ugh football bit :D :D :D although I think world cups are always quite exciting. Although this year there doesn't seem the same hype as last one - no cars with flags in their windows etc... seems a lot more subdued

But either way Ally and Jan - may the best team win; good luck to you both
Di, best of luck for the scan
Crommers, I don't get the 14ft conifer thing either; besides which they can cause such issues with subsidence. How far from your house are they?
Kaz enjoy the cat sitting

Friday today so that means office lunch - burgers today; yum. Was meant to meet up with a friend after work for a quick drink but we've rescheduled as I need to get home pronto and he now can't meet up until later; so it doesn't really work.

have a lovely day all xx

Good morning all, it's sunny and quite warm here.

I'm just having coffee and watching Frasier after a two hour walk with Billy this morning. I think he'd still have been walking now if I'd let him. I'd done 12000 steps by 9am  I usually like to be back by 8 on Fridays though to make sure that Joe's up and ready for college but he's finished now so we had more time.

There's washing in the machine, thought I'd freshen the cushion covers up, and I need to pop to the post office shortly to buy a stamp and post a card. Tom's working later and Joe's going out. John's out tonight with neighbours. He tried to get out of it last month and I told him to leave it until last minute to tell them but he'd already sent a message by then and they rescheduled for him  They're going to some poncey cocktail bar in town and John really isn't a poncey cocktail bar type of person

Jan, there's a Portugal flag flying from a window of a house around the corner.

Ria, there're plenty of flags flying around here.

Crommers, they sound like our neighbours. He's planted trees all around their back garden and the ones he's planted right against our fence are going to cause problems as they grow as the trunks will push against the fence. He's even planted a maple about 6ft from the houses. Strange man, he avoids talking (even if it's just to say hello) if he can and even ducks behind his car if he's on the drive as you pass but his wife is lovely and friendly. She knocked on the door a couple of months ago to warn us that they were having the fence replaced all around the garden. They weren't aware that the fence between us and them is our boundary and belongs to us so that was left as it is as we plan to have concrete posts fitted when it needs replacing.

Have a good day all!

Ria, the trees / conifers are over the road from us but right next to Sergio and MrsC's sisters flats. The roots of the conifers are lifting sister in laws drive. A couple of years ago the roots broke into thr drains and blocked them. Sergio got the water board in because his toilet nearly overflowed in his new bathroom.
One of the big trees is a lime so there is problems with sap.
The people who live there don't care unfortunately.

Morning all, it is dull and cool here. I've just checked us in for our Southampton flight tomorrow :D The boarding passes were sent by email but would not print properly from the ipad. Wasn't till I looked at the email on my phone that I saw they were sent as pdf, so they printed perfectly from the phone - ipads don't "do" pdfs. I am so used to Ryanair and Aer Lingus doing it through their apps and just having the passes on the phone.

So the packing is half done, just the more creaseable things, dresses, shirts, jackets and dress suit to put in plus of course toilet bags in the morning. Off to the gym shortly, and I don't have too much to do later on. We usually go dancing on Friday evenings, but will not this evening - I love to finish packing, then the last thing I do is sit down and do my nails. Mr Osc is quite happy to watch the footie. Need to book the taxi for the morning too, not too early a start which is nice, as the flight is not until 12.50.
