What a wonderful thing!

Postby AliasAggers » 21 Jun 2018, 15:38

I've just seen an advertisement for a wrist watch that is guaranteed to be accurate to one second for - wait for it -

138,000,000 years. . - yes, 138 million years. I think I'll get one of those - but - wait a minute -

I won't be around then, will I? - in fact, it's likely that no-one else will be either.

Seriously, though, What's the sense in making statements like that? Are those responsible stupid - or do they think that we are?

What do you think?

I have a few broken watches and they are absolutely accurate to one billionth of a millionth of a trillionth of a second twice every day.

Beat that you watchmakers. ;)

It's a bit of a silly claim really. Plus we put the clocks forward and back so the time on the eatch has to be changed twice a year anyway.
