Prior to 1971 it could have fallen in early June for the reasons Jo mentioned, but since 1971 then it's always the last Monday in May. So really, given the way the question is asked and that most people taking the test wouldn't have been in the UK when the change came in then I think the answer should be false ie I was correct

Argued like a true Brit - you fully deserve citizenship just for that post alone, Meriad!

I'd have put true, as I have known the late May BH fall on the first Monday in June before - no idea what the reason was but it is possible.

The Life in the UK Test is the one where you are asked 24 questions of which the one I asked is one (you have 45 mins to answer them - who needs that much time????) is booked for Tuesday afternoon and then I need to figure next steps, which I think is the application form and then biometrics? All a bit confusing and overwhelming but I'll get there hopefully

It's a trick question - both answers are right depending upon how the question is interpreted.
