We had a lovely time, thanks :) The market is huge this year, and with the sun out, shining on the water, and the decorations, and stall holders in costume - not to mention the ice rink - it was very pretty. I would have taken some photos but I forgot my phone   I bought a few bits, some wonderful preserves and Welsh cheeses - they are getting edible presents this year I think ;)

Ris, I hope the year went well, I should think your English is pretty darned perfect ;)

Jen I hope you get another appointment through soon xx

So it's my one and only daughter's 30th birthday today!!! I can't believe how fast those years have gone, I can remember giving birth to her as if it was last week!! We're going out for a meal later to celebrate.

Although there won't be a fat lot to celebrate for Tom....his brother sadly died this morning. It's been only a week since he was admitted but it's been a long one for everyone concerned. Tom went to work Tuesday but then on Wednesday Jimmy was calling his name so he was given permission to go to the hospital and "don't come back In until you are ready". He spent all day there yesterday and then went back in first thing this morning....Jimmy passed about half an hour after Tom arrived. So today has been a weird one.....

I've had a normal Thursday, Aquafit and grocery shopping, it's been all phone calls and funeral directors at Jimmy's house.....

Have a good day xxx

Thanks everyone xx

Well we did have a nice evening, despite everything. At Jen's request (she was having a bad anxiety day) we didn't go out, we ordered a takeaway and ate at home, it was better all round I think.

John (oldest brother) and Tom went for the death certificate this morning and to register it so the funeral arrangements could be made, but since Jimmy had COPD and was a miner working underground, the coroner has to be involved so the registration couldn't go ahead. Hopefully it will be done well in time for the funeral, which will be November 29th at 11am. Unless anything holds things up.
xx
