Yikes Jo! I hope it doesn't come my way! :cute: I'm starting to wonder if it's going to be one of those days  I just missed the Cheltenham bus, so thought I would walk up to the next stop and post my parcel at the little PO en route. So I did, and as I came out of the PO another bus sailed past :o So I got under the bus shelter, only for a huge drip from the top of the shelter to fall on my head - and it was suspiciously milky looking to only be rain! Thanks pigeons  :cute:

Hello all and again apologies from me for the radio silence. I had a super busy weekend and then Monday was a shamble getting to work and I ended up doing stuff from home and then meeting up with Nadine for lunch. Yesterday I did the 2nd test that I needed to begin the process of my UK naturalisation and am pleased to report that I have passed both so now next step is to get the paperwork going and pay pay pay A LOT of money.

Loz, best of luck to D for today
Oh no Kaz - but then in Germany bird poop on your head is meant to be a sign of good luck. Maybe buy a lottery ticket or scratch card when you get into town :D

Jo, I saw on the news that there was snow your neck of the woods; how pretty. Although working in London the sight of a snow flake puts me into a mild panic as, without a shadow of doubt, the train company will use that to be even more useless than they are.

Well my niece in Germany is due her baby very very soon. Little one was due on the 11th of this month but he's keeping us all in suspense and is no rush; so today Lisa is being induced which means we hopefully will be able to welcome the first member of the next generation either today or tomorrow. And on Monday we had a call from my other niece in SA to say that she too is expecting; very early days yet but I figured I'm allowed to say something here :D All very exciting but not sure I'm ready to be considered a great-aunt :o

Everyone else, enjoy the day doing all the bits and bobs you're up to - too many to reply individually x

Bet you aced it Ria :Hi: :Hi: And congratulations on being a great aunt :D ish ;)

Flu jab done. Bit peeved, as the nurse said we could have had them done last month, when the mobile was going round. We didn't know about it until afterwards, as believe it or not, we don't go down to the bar every day and didn't see the notice until it was too late. She's very kindly made a note to let us know about next year.

She also said we need to have weight/blood pressure etc checked, but suggested we wait until after Christmas

Shopping done, bought extra because of the car

Sunshine and clouds with a little drizzle every now and then, but warm :D

Very cold, but thankfully still dry here. We have the tiler in, refurbishing the ensuite, so with the front door being opened & closed at regular intervals, tis a tad chilly inside the house.

South Western Rail's admin is as chaotic as their train services; I've now received £45 worth of vouchers for my Delay Repay claim based on a £30 ticket! I'll play fair - I'll not cash in the duplicates ….

The flu jab regime over here is a bit in chaos as well, Jan. It's reported they have run out of shots for the "over 65" version of the vaccine in large parts of the country. My S in Birmingham hasn't been able to get one yet.

Ossie, Boots had a notice on display in their window the other week saying that there was a nationwide shortage for vaccines for over-65s so no bookings could be made.
