Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 07 Jan 2019, 05:52

Good morning.

Sunny and warm forecast. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Personal trainer and I are back to it this morning - a 12km walk is planned.

It's a holiday here today - yesterday was a national holiday but as it fell on a Sunday a puente is taken today.

Reading, relaxing and nail painting are today's tasks.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Very thick frost this morning and just above 0C at the back of the house :o  But the sun is out, and the frost will be thawing soon, then we have a lovely, warm day. And another cold night

We've put netting (on poles) around our more venerable plants and yesterday put lids on them too, which is lucky, as this frost is the worst we've seen here. The tops of the netting is white.

Heldar arriving this morning with more wood.

General pootling - inside  - this morning. Will see how my back is holding up and might do some weeding this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and Jan. Nippy here too.

The day will most likely be spent running around after other people, as per usual.

Have a good day all.

Morning all

Enjoy the walk Ally - guess the weather and temperatures this time of year are perfect for that
Take it easy Jan - give your back a few days rest.
Crommers, you too take it easy - do you ever have time for yourself?

Well we're back to the usual/usual here; so nothing exciting to report.

Have a lovely day everyone; hope the poorlies are starting to feel better and everyone else stay warm xxx

Good morning, it is overcast here but dry for the moment. Mr Osc was up and out to get his B12 injection and has now set off to walk to the golf club for a game. I'm going to the gym this morning, then back to mostly iron. Yesterday I updated the Christmas card list, which is good for the first week in January

Afternoon all :D

Only just had brekkie, honestly we're getting lazier by the day  Busy with appointments the rest of the week so might as well enjoy doing nothing today.

It's Z's birthday, she's 44 today, where did all those years go...……..

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good afternoon all, it's a bit breezy here but quite mild.

It's been a busy morning with a long dog walk, some housework and then I've had a sort out in the garage. We have an excess of Christmas trees, we've bought new ones over the years but never got around to throwing out the old ones and the boys always used to have trees in their rooms too (but they seem to have grown out of that now) so I've unboxed them and stuffed four Christmas trees (2x 6ft and 2x 5ft) into the wheelie bin along with two sets of lights as it gets emptied tomorrow and our household bin is rarely ever more than half full after a fortnight. I'll be glad to get the recycling bin emptied, they've left that for 3 weeks over the holidays and it's full to the brim. We don't usually fill that in a fortnight either but some neighbours always have overflowing bins so I'll bet they've struggled with waiting an extra week!

Enjoy the rest of the day all!

Good afternoon all.

I've been to the hospital this morning for a blood test, as my doctor is looking into the possibility of taking me off Warfarin
and putting me on to something else that is not so affected by the painkillers I now need for this wretched arthritis, which
has now reached the stage when I need something stronger, and the injections he gave me into my wrists a few weeks ago
have now ceased to be of much help. Here's hoping!

Hope you are all feeling fine.

Hope you can get it sorted out soon Aggers xx

Been a gloriously warm and sunny day, but chilling down now, rather quickly.

We've had to cover the broad beans, as they were suffering this morning, so was one of the new aloe's, so it has now a hat for over night. Expecting these cold nights for at least a week

Fire lit and we're still waiting for Heldar to appear with wood

There are a coupe of things that irritate me about the Portuguese. One is the red tape and officiousness of people in office and other is lack of keeping to what they say. When he dropped of the first on, he said next week-end for the next load. That was a month ago. We saw him last week and he said at the end of the week, then saw him on Saturday and he said Monday. It's getting dark ish now

Afternoon everyone :)

Sorry to be late checking in, I was running late for my meeting this morning, and since I got home I've been catching up with a few bits and pieces - loading and unloading the tumble dryer, and prepping veg and stuff for a sausage casserole, which is already smelling lush 8-)

B has just got home from work, but is heading out to the gym. She is taking her weight loss and fitness regime very seriously, and I'm relieved and proud as I was starting to worry about her from a health POV 8-) I

Looking forward to a relaxing evening in front of the telly, doing the crossword - my twice-weekly indulgence lately  :geek:
