Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 12 Jan 2019, 09:04

Morning everyone

A lovely, sunny morning and no frost in our garden. It was in the valleys earlier, but now gone.

Houseworkery stuff for me this morning and Grumpy will be finishing the doors - I'll put the music on load, so I can't hear the swearing

Going into Ourique this afternoon, to get some stuff we need and will have a pit-stop at the bar on the way back.

Curry for dinner - well, it's Saturday

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Crommers, how is your son in law now?

Morning all :)

Jan, I hope the air doesn't get too blue :P

I hope he's better now Crommers xx

It's been raining here, but not at the moment. No SW meeting for me, B is working and Corretto's is shut for renovations so we're going to Cheltenham for brunch before popping to see D later. I'm taking round the wool we ordered for Fraggle's little coat

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Jan and Kaz, lee is OK now (well, not OK he's tired out) but he's back at work. Now the problem is our daughter, who has been stressing about going back to work for a while and now has no appetite, stomach trouble, has lost a load of weight and is going dizzy and weak. She's gone to the doctor twice but is no better.

I wish I was making this stuff up but I'm not. We've had months of worry about our son and his serious back problem, then Lee, now this. It has put a strain on us.

Anyway. it is what it is. No real idea what today has in store.

It's very dark here this morning but not cold.

A common enough thing, Crommers, with new mums and returning to work. Has she sorted out child care? And yes, a short sunny break will do the pair of you good.

Whilst it's lovely and sunny and warm through the window, it's blinkin' cold out there. Scuppered eating breakfast outside, even wrapped up

Grumpy is moaning about the standard of carpentry  Builders here are just general builders, they don't specialise and the guy who put the shutters up has made mistake after mistake  We've got doors got on the wrong way round :cute:  But hey ho, he'll get over it. I'll treat him to a few beers later ;)

Mornng all, it is dull and dreary here. Mr Osc is most unusually playing some golf today, he is marking a handicap card for his nephew who is taking up golf again, having been quite a good golfer when younger. A good few years ago, Mr Osc downgraded his membership to 5 day, as he never did play at weekends. But when he got his latest subscription bill, it appears that they have reinstated him as a full member, possibly because he is now 70, for the same amount!

H/worky stuff here too  I had better get on with it.

Afternoon all :D

Dull, cold and overcast here.

You certainly have had months of worry Crommers, a short break for you and your wife sounds as though it would do you both a lot of good. Getting away for a couple of weeks definitely helped us to relax and get back a bit of normality.

Will post about the DERIK course on the health board for anyone who's interested.

Not a lot happening here, the beds been stripped and I've got some washing on the go and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

The sun is still out, but that wind is cold

The cupboard is finished :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: He's a clever lad, that Grumpy 8-)

I've sprayed the paths, which are full of weeds, but ran out of vinegar so will get some when we go into Ourique.
