Afternoon all, it is a very pleasant day here. I've been to the gym, then to the cafe next door. Came home and made a batch of soup and I'm putting off doing some ironing  Edward played golf and enjoyed it.

Get thee down to a rugby league match, Crommers! 8-)

My Mother in Law had a saying - let no good deed go unpunished ..... :)

1. Arrive this morning at car park in Shaftesbury. The ticket machine is truly an invention of the Devil. :cute: Old boy in front of me having great difficulty trying to pay by credit card. Couldn't extract his card because of arthritic fingers so stopped to help him out. He tried a second time; bottom line, the machine was having none of it. :| He said he had a funeral to attend, and had no ready change, so I helped him out and bought a ticket for him. Told him not to worry, just put it in a charity box next time he passed on.

2. Arrived home to find a letter from HMR&C. I owe £120. No, I (insert adjective of choice here) don't!
Attempt to log in online. It throws me out twice.
Phone On-line Services Helpdesk. Hold for 35 minutes.
He has no idea why it's doing that. Can only suggest I register a new account. In the meantime, he believes they are aware my tax demand was incorrect. Will they send me a letter putting it right? Possibly ..... :?
In the meantime, it is very important to HMR&C that I can access their services online. Will I please register a new account?
Spend 10 minutes going through the procedures and setting this up.
Log in. On-line, it's showing I owe just 80p, but the income figures are still showing as incorrect. So something still wrong somewhere. :|
Log out. Decide to investigate a bit further. Attempt to log back in again - it throws me out again, twice.
Fill in on-line feedback form, complaining.
Try one more time for good luck.
This time, it logs me in OK. WTF? Mind you, still can't see where the taxman is getting his figures from.
Write stiff letter to authorities requesting full explanation and post it 1st class. :P

Retire with a cuppa tea.

Very prescient, my MiL. :D

Good sort? Have you met Grumpy??????????

Holiday home for you and Mrs Crommers here whenever you want.

You just have to put up with himself, but we could always put him the battery store ;)
