Plans are afoot

Postby JanB » 24 Apr 2019, 17:19

to spend more money

We have talked for a couple of years about having some sort of cover on the back terrace. Thoughts of a gazebo, conservatory, railings, panelling - all sorts :?

We have the bloke who did our blinds for the kitchen coming over, when he has time. There is no rush, before next winter is fine.

He has some brilliant ideas - mostly cost a lot    but I think I may just persuade Grumpy to spend a few euros ;) 8-)

Jan, is that where you step down into the garden / veg patch?

If I remember rightly it can get a bit blowy out there ... and you were talking about some sort of cover way back when God was in nappies. It will be interesting to know what the man with the plan comes up with.

Just to enclose the back terrace WM.

Sat out there earlier, in me batty granny shawl, gert cardi and had a beer  I sat right by the washing machine and Grumpy was very brave (foolish) and sat at the white table.

We'll see what Denny has to come up with. I like the idea of it all being able to be enclosed in the winter, but with openings, to get some air.

I do like my fresh air ;)

Be careful of 'openings' (plural) you do not want to create a wind tunnel.

Not kidding. My ex-bil and sil have a lovely outlook over the Wharfe valley, and it does get windy. They built a veranda type conservatory along the back and put sliders out to the garden. It was fine with only one opened, but with two open ... ! :o

There's fresh air and then there's hurricane WillHellMurder.
