Good morning Sunday

Postby meriad » 26 May 2019, 07:08

Merry morning everyone... a much duller start to the day today and maybe some rain this afternoon. Got quite a bit done in the garden yesterday; and today will be a quick mow of the front lawns and then meet up with Nadine to head to a garden centre and have a bite to eat - so a perfect day. Possibly have a friend come round this evening; we've tentatively agreed but not confirmed; and dare I say I really won't mind if it doesn't go ahead so will wait for her to confirm :D

Have a lovely day all x

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Another lovely morning - shorts are now the dress code 8-)

Sounds a rather pleasant way to spend Sunday Ria, enjoy xx

Grumpy out painting the top of the wall by the pool, before it gets too hot. Then we can put up the screening :Hi:

I am spoiling us today  Bacon, egg, sausage and fried bread for breakfast, then chicken breast, stuffed with something or other, wrapped in presunto, hasslebak potatoes, garlic mushrooms and various veg for dinner 8-)

We managed to fine some plain white voile type curtains for the new bedroom last week and they need to be taken up, so that's my job today. And I'm rubbish at sewing   I'll try to do it, but if it looks dreadful, I'll ask Bertalina if she could do it. She still does some sewing for people. Used to make beautiful dresses etc for people when she was younger.

Might venture into the pool later, the temperature is creeeping up daily, after last weeks dreadful weather.

Hope Kaz is feeling okay this morning x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ria, that does sound perfect! I love a good mooch round a garden centre, especially if it ends up in the cafe ;) :D

Jan, I'm rubbish at sewing too! I must admit that any little jobs such as hemming find their way to D's these days! She sews very well   I'm feeling a bit rough still, but refuse to let it spoil my weekend ;) xx

We had a lovely day yesterday! I and P arrived late morning, and as it was very sunny we say out on the decking, and stayed there - with lunch and wine and/or tea and coffee - until it was time to go out for dinner to The Oakwood :D

That was a bit odd as apparently they will be closing, so are operating on a restricted menu, to run down stock, and skeleton staff  However, the food was fine, when it finally arrived, and we were in no hurry as the company was excellent ;)

Looking forward to seeing the boys today :) Chris said he would pick Harry up at 9.30, so I will expect them at any time from 11 onwards, depending on the roads 8-) I'm cooking a big roast dinner, chicken and all the trimmings, and apple pie with cream, custard or ice cream to follow :D

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Some nice days there.
It has rained heavily here overnight but is brightening up now. Today will be spent relaxing. Chicken for dinner.
I was going to powerwash the patio but we'll see how the weather goes.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it is quite dull here. Nothing special planned, Edward is assembling what we bought in Argos yesterday (a clothes rail and a wine rack) and I suppose I might do some h/work :?

I was thinking that too Osc, but outside calls.

Also decided to let some-one else do the curtains. They're too fine for me to make a bodge job of it. I know Bertalina wouldn't charge us, and I'd want to pay her, so will take them into the shop in Ourique next week.

Going to wander around the garden and pull up some weeds, making sure I'm covered in suncream 8-)
