Michael’s trip to France

Postby Osc » 31 May 2019, 20:43

You know Michael is on a soccer trip to France in a link up with Richard Dunne’s football academy in Monaco. Richard Dunne played for Everton, Man City, Aston Villa and QPR, plus 80 appearances for Ireland. Michael’s team, the u/10s which is coached by SIL, and the parents who have gone with them, are having the most amazing time. This evening, they were welcomed to the mayoral chateau in Monaco and tomorrow......they are meeting Prince Albert :o :o Miss Osc says they are wondering how they will equal all of this when the Monaco boys come here next year!

I remember Richard Dunne well. I'm glad Michael is having a great time in Monaco. :)

Just catching up with this fantastic trip, Osc. Did they meet the Prince, was the palace spic and span... and did they win?

You'll be well able to return the favour as there are some fantastic places to visit in Ireland. :D

Yes, they met the Prince, but not at the palace, he came to the training ground and high fived every boy. SIL presented him with a Howth Celtic Jersey and said he was very nice - SIL started talking to him in French and Albert replied in English with an American accent  Yesterday they got a tour of the Monaco stadium and more training with Richard Dunne. They head home today, leaving behind beautiful weather and back to rain
