Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 17 Jul 2019, 05:26

Good morning.

The lovely weather continues. Chatting to David on WhatsApp and he's telling me Spain is like an oven furnace.... I'm glad to be out of it.

I had a super time with my cousins yesterday. We drove down Clydeside and had a lovely lunch in a garden centre.

Today is the postponed Glasgow visit. Really looking forward to going in.

I know once Don goes home tomorrow I need to tackle some 'things' which are going to be difficult. I feel I'm building myself up to dealing with them. :(

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Our normal dull, grey and cool start to the day. Normally clears about 10.00 then we have our summer back 8-)

You can get through the "stuff" Ally xx Won't be pleasant and I expect lots of tears to be shed, but you can do it. But enjoy your day today x

Watering and then pootling this morning. A swim and then into Ourique for the weekly shopping. We'd normally go in the morning, to beat the heat, but we need to go to the library and that doesn't open until 2.00pm today

Chicken and mushroom risotto for dinner tonight. Not done this for a couple of years, as it's not Grumpy's thing, rice, but I love it.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you lot :D

Ally, enjoy Glasgow. Sending vibes and love for tomorrow and the rest of your stay; as Jan says there will be tears, but also hopefully some smiles at happy memories - we'll be alongside you in spirit xxx

Jan, just as well the car has air con - hope it's not too hot when you do go into town and that you get the bits and bobs you need. Enjoy the pool
Kaz, don't overdo that ironing! :D

Well a lovely sunny day here as well (for now). Usual work day, meeting with a friend for a quick drink after work which will be nice. Live very quickly resumes it's usual plod doesn't it.

Have a wonderful day everyone xx

Good morning all, another day at sea and it is a brighter day, the weather has been disappointing so far. Yesterday in Hamburg started off dull and inclined to drizzle but cleared just a bit so we went off into the city centre and had a mosey around. Found C&A, an old favourite of mine, so bought a few little things for Michael and Kellie. Yesterday afternoon, completely out of the blue, Edward proposed going on a short cruise Southampton-Hamburg-Southampton at the end of my birthday week in September. "just to finish out your birthday in style" he said. So after dinner we booked it   That will be one hectic week, down to Cork on Wednesday, home Friday evening and then probably fly to Southampton on Saturday to join the cruise on Sunday......but what the hell, life is short. We are sitting next to a lovely Scottish couple at dinner, they are a similar age and like to dance too. They cruise loads and have booked themselves a big one for next year. Right, I'm in the library and about to choose myself a book - the other day I took out Anton du Beke's first novel, and I have to say it is pretty rubbish so I will get something else.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, but a bit breezy here.

Sorting 'stuff' is never easy Ally, but you will get through it xxx

I love rice too Jan, but it's been off the menu since my diabetes diagnosis, seems to set off all the symptoms, must admit I do miss it

Probably too much to expect him to be good at everything

Hydro went well yesterday, definitely knew I'd done it though. It seems to be helping the hip, shame it doesn't do anything for my ankle, that's really playing up again, really sore!! Plan to take it easy today, lots of ice packs and hope we can get out to the shops tomorrow.

Have a good day :D

We're not going anywhere at the moment - duff battery   They don't last long in this heat, so it's on charge and will get up to Ourique and we'll get one fitted there.

Good afternoon all, it's cloudy and really humid here.

Billy had his walk first thing and then I walked down to the sorting office as there was a Red Card of Doom through the door when I came back from Stafford yesterday. On the way back I walked past the cemetery so went in and tidied up my Nan and Grandad's grave, my Mom's mother and stepfather. I should walk that way more often and keep an eye on it. Once the weather's cooled down I'll take some fresh flowers regularly, Nan loved flowers.

Tom's been into Birmingham and bought himself a new laptop. He'll need it for his course and work in September. Joe's taken Amanda home but I'm expecting him back soon as he has work this evening. The Tesco delivery has just come so that's now all been put away.

I've also cut the lawn and there's now some washing drying which will need ironing.

Sending you lots of love for the coming days Al xx

Have a good day all!

New battery for the car - 74.23€ not too bad.

Did the shopping, bought some wine with 65% off :Hi: :Hi: and then got new books at the library.

Pit stop at bar - they have new tables and chairs 8-) for outside, very nice 8-)

Because I was unsure how long the new battery would take, they might not have had one, will get one later etc, I took out stuff from the freezer for tonights dinner, so that's what we're having . The chicken, white wine and mushroom risotto is planned for next week now.

Took a while for the clouds to disappear, but when they did, got rather warm 8-) and still is 8-)
