Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 20 Oct 2019, 06:27

Good morning.

Nice again. 8-)

A walk then over to pick dad up for the day. :D

Jacob is here already. Conor and Lucia are coming over around noon. I'm making a roast chicken dinner and it'll be the first time we've all sat together in the new kitchen. :D :D

Nipping out tonight to Jose's for a beer or two. :P

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely sunny morning 8-)

We had rather a lot of rain yesterday :Hi: :Hi: so all the plants are looking very green. No doubt the weeds will be popping up in a day or so

Rugby on. Not sure what we'll be doing for the rest of the day. Bits and bobs. Although Grumpy is making a present for friends.

Jan admired our hot plate stand the other week and I suggested to Grumpy, later, that he make one for her, so we'll wrap it up for December 8-)

BBQ later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Enjoy the bbq jan. Ally, Lucia is a lovely name.
All go down this cul de sac this morning. A squirrel has just run across the road and an ambulance has driven down to the last house in the road; I hope everything is ok for them.
The police have figured in our nearest and dearest's lives this week. Sister in law works in a library and they have had a refugee/asylum seeker volunteering there. Three police officers arrived the other day and took him away.
On another day the bobbies turned up looking for a frequent habitue of the library. He wasn't there but library staff found out by checking his log in that he was currently at another branch. So this person is now also helping with inquiries.
He has mental health issues. As does the person my son in law arrested last night in this village. Who was running around armed with a crossbow.
The police who actually do the job earn their money, and more.
Daughter, Eliza and dog are here atm. Hopefully they will stay for dinner.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, it's a sunny one here and isn't too chilly.

Billy's had his walk and John's out for a bike ride. Both lads are back later tonight and we're off into Birmingham once John's back and ready, we're planning on having lunch at a lovely pizza restaurant, Rudy's, on Bennett's Hill.

We put the new dining table and chairs together yesterday, I'm really pleased with how it looks in the kitchen. Our first meal on it, last night, was steak, homemade potato wedges, mushrooms, baby corn, sugar snap peas and peppercorn sauce followed by lemon cheesecake :D

I hope all's okay with your neighbours Crommers. I agree that the police do a really great job. Our friend has just retired from the counter terrorism unit and I wouldn't have envied him for his job, he's now retrained as a police driving instructor

Have a good day all!

They do! Glad your SiL was ok Crommers! xx

Morning all :) The weather is better today, there's some sunshine 8-) We're just having a cuppa in Corretto's, but (don't shoot me) I'm actually contemplating some Christmas shopping, as I need to have the in-laws sorted before they come up in a few weeks. D is staying put in Gloucester this year, so won't be able to take our pressies down like she usually does. We're away for a long weekend at the beginning of November, so that leaves this weekend and next to get my finger out! :cute:

Have a good day everyone xxx

Afternoon all, it is quite sunny here but is rather chilly as we discovered when we went for a walk down at the harbour. Edward is watching sport all day (rugby, rugby, soccer) and I am doing a few bits and pieces around the house - not too much though ;) I want to finish the book I am currently reading and also do some knitting.

Afternoon all :D

Bright and sunny right now, who knows it's so changeable :?

We've had a nice lie in and plan an easy day. Roast pork with veggies for dinner, strawberry blancmange with blackcurrant jelly for pud.

Have a good day :D

Change of plan re the bbq. It clouded over, a lot, and went quite cold

So we decided to finish of last nights curry.

Sat outside with a beer or three and the clouds disappeared, the sun came out :cute:   and it got rather warm.

But the bbq will be tomorrow.

Gez came up earlier and we spent a happy hour or so, gossiping, whilst Grumpy tried to fix her gas hob. Her ex-boyfriend had really messed it up. Couldn't fix the bodge, so she'll have to take it to Marco tomorrow.

And I made a gert lush broccoli and cheese soup. She took one home, so she could microwave it for tea. :D
