Good morning.

After a couple of mizzly days we have our sunshine back. :D 8-)

New trainers going on :D and a walk with my PT.

Both boys are coming over late morning and we're going to Gambrinus for lunch. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning, with just a hint of a breeze 8-)

Washing out and drying nicely, will do a couple more loads, to get rid of it, as we're expecting showers next week.

Will try and get some cleaning done this morning, although I will have to do it around Grumpy, as Rick Stein is on tv this morning  Will also take a stroll around the garden, see how things stood up to yesterdays wind and rain.

Curry for dinner 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

A couple of nice days there. :)
Good morning all. Grey and raining here. The leaves have all gone from the trees now, the first couple of frosts did for them.
We have Eliza here, she stopped overnight. In a mo I'll get the paper.
We should be allowed to hibernate after Christmas I think; put the heating on low and wake up in March or April.
Not much on today. MrsC is going shopping with her sister and then seeing their dad. I might post on families about him later, he has been his usual self this week only worse.
Apart from that reading or watching last night's Vera is about it.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it is a miserable day here (Edward wondered if I could use the word sh*te :D ) but thankfully we have nothing planned that requires us to go out. Today I want to make out a Christmas present list to see what I have already, as I am planning a shopping day on Tuesday. I just ordered a little junior knitting kit for Kellie online, she is always interested in my knitting so she might enjoy trying it. I also plan to drastically reduce my Christmas card list - postage outside Ireland is now €1.70 and a lot on my list live abroad (even the UK counts as abroad) and I need to check what cards I might have left over from last year. There is also ironing to be done but I could leave it until tomorrow. I need to take up a pair of jeggings, I took them up last year but they are still a bit too long and I also need to finish a little bolero I have knitted for Kellie, then carry on with other knitting.

Absolutely Crommers, I often think I should become a tortoise in the winter  I was hoping Mrs.C and her sister would find things a lot easier with the care package for their father, what's he been up to this time?

We've been reducing our Christmas card list over the last couple of years Osc, only send to a few people these days. I prefer to send e-cards where possible, this site is lovely http://www.jacquielawson.com I've been a member for a few years now.

We're not doing too much today, both need to recover from all the activity yesterday. Just the usual washing on the go.

Have a good day :D

Afternoon everyone :)

Up early for our SW meeting - we both did well - then brunch in Corretto's :) The Victorian Market is still on until tomorrow, so it was heaving down there!

Oh heck Crommers, sorry to hear that :(

I've used that eCard site too, Jen, the cards are lovely 8-)

*Waves to everyone* xxxx

Jen, he got the doctor out to his house (via the carer) to look at his piles  so we were phoned about that. After that he was wittering at MrsC to get this latest prescription. He then wanted her to inspect his piles (the offer was declined). MrsC told him to sit on the bed to take his socks off; he didn't and promply fell over.
Then last night he phoned us and sister in law three times. "I'm confused, I'm going funny, I don't know what I'm doing etc etc. He was hoo hooing and weeping and wailing. He wanted someone to go over and turn the tv on for him.
I may come across as being harsh and uncaring, but it's just been a load on us. It's like you can't have your own life.
It's especially a load on MrsC. She doesn't deserve it.
Both girls were always close to their mother. When Ruth was dying in the hospital they spent two days with her, so she wouldn't die alone with no one she loved near her.
Their dad, not so much. He's always been a very selfish man, never going out of his way for anyone. But now he is expecting them to go out of their way for him and it is an aggravating factor, there's no denying it.

Oh dear Crommers what a nightmare. If things continue like this you might have to think about a care home for him.
