Good morning Ally & anybody else who is up.
Ally I thoiught we would have to send a search party out for you.
The repair to the car was much cheaper than I expected. It only need a new sensor to stop the brake warning light coming on. I thought it neede new brake pads.
This morning taking some shirts to a charity shop. books to another shop which recycles books, the bank and then some shopping.
Have a good d ay everybody

Morning Al and all!

It's mild and grey here, but it's dry for now so that'll do. I think rain if forecast later though.

I've got ironing to do this morning, the washing I put on the line last night is mostly dry this morning so I'm glad I took advantage of the breezy, mild night. The Tesco delivery is coming at lunchtime. Hopefully I'll be able to get Bill another walk (we're just back from from the first one) in case it rains later.

Off to the Odeon tonight to see Jojo Rabbit, really looking forward to that. We all enjoyed The Gentlemen at the weekend, I'd go as far as to say that it's the best role that Hugh Grant has played in my opinion.

Have a good day all!

Morning everyone

Another lovely looking morning, but a little frosty out there  Bit misty over the hills too, but it will warm up again soon 8-)

Molly is in hibernating mode, came inside at 5.30 yesterday, went into our bedroom and hasn't moved since :o  well, apart from once, wanting food ;)

Off to Ourique after breakfast, to drop off my broken necklace for repair, Nelsons for stuff for the strimmers (yes, that time again), the "lawn" will soon need strimming, then to Alentejana for wine and other stuff, then to Pingo for the mainly food shop. Pit stop at the bar for coffee and we're treating ourselves to a hopefully good steak for dinner.

My back went twang again this morning :cute:  Grumpy said it was my fault for going out weeding yesterday. I blame the electric sockets not being hand height

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it looks quite pleasant out there. I am heading back to the gym this morning, I’ve only been twice since early December so need to get back into it. I am collecting Kellie today and she will stay here until Miss Osc collects her later. The childminder’s son is dying (early 40s, chronic alcoholic, liver completely ruined, so sad) so she is not working and we are on standby to help as needed. We will do our supermarket shop this afternoon, she’ll enjoy helping us with that. First of all, I need to tidy around, and go to the post office to take out some money.

Oh gosh Osc, how sad. :(

Here's me popping in to say Craig has just whatsapped me to tell me he's driving up on Friday night and will meet me off the plane.

I'll tell sis (so she can get a bed ready for Craig) but keep it as a surprise for dad. :Hi:

Morning all :D

Bit dull and overcast here.

We're off to the cinema to see Little Women later. Loved the books so hoping the film's as good.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Oh well... I started typing a good morning message just after 10am this morning and now it's gone midday :D :D So rather a good day to you all

Osc, that is very sad - I hope she has a lot of support from family and friends because it's going to be a tough road ahead; poor woman :(
Ally, that is such a lovely surprise - I love just how close your family is
Cruiser, good news re the car !
Jo, it's ridiculously mild here as well; 12 degrees on my way to work this morning and this in January! Not that they're much to go on, but I had a look at a long term forecast and not much expected in the way of freezing / cold / winter temperatures - but now that I've said it; watch out! :D
Jan, be careful with your back. But interesting what you say re the plug points - when Karl and Nadine had their extension built the new plug points had to be a certain distance above floor height. Usually they're just above the skirting board but now they have to be about 30cm or so above floor level so a wheelchair user can easily reach them. Makes sense on the one hand, but from an aesthetic point of view they do stick out a bit now.
Jen enjoy the movie

Well another usual / usual for me which is nice so nothing exciting to report. Have a lovely day all x

Evening all :)

Guess what? I won the lottery - well £90, anyway!. :Hi: I'll use it to buy the weekly shop tomorrow ;) I thought I had a fiver on one ticket, and a free ticket on the other, but when the shop assistant checked it in the machine she said "Oh, that's a nice win, hope I have enough cash in the till!" My knees went a bit funny, I never win anything :?

Osc, that's very sad :( xx

Love to everyone :) xx
