Afternoon all. It is quite a nice day here but rather chilly. We got up at 9am and went straight out for a walk before breakfast as the forecast did mention rain, but it hasn’t rained yet. In a while we will walk up to Miss Osc’s house and chat to the children over the garden wall. They were told about my op last night and I want them to see that I am ok, plus they will think it funny that we are talking over the wall!

Good afternoon all,

Up early, and completed a happy morning's " virus-shopping" * at two of our local supermarkets by 10:00. :D
Between them, I managed to source pretty much everything on our hit list except brown rice and long-life milk.
Assuming we're to be incarcerated for 4 months, the jolly old Brexit boxes are now pretty much filled up to their former levels, so things should be fine.

There is some move to set up a Community Help Group in town to support the resident elderlies with shopping etc.
However, rightly or wrongly, Mrs O and I are really working on the basis that the more self-sufficient we can get now, the less we'll have to "rely" on other folk later.

* - don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not one of those "clearing shelves" as such, buying for the sake of it, I'm just purchasing a couple of extra items of the things that we reckon we'll need each time I shop, and then storing them away.
I have a running inventory going, and when I judge it's right to stop, then I'll stop.
