Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 24 Mar 2020, 06:20

Good morning.

Cloudy sunshine and warm. We had a couple of hours of very welcome rain last night. :D

Nipping to Mercadona for a few essentials.

Have a decent day everyone.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sunny start, with a little breeze.

Ironing this morning and we might just strim this afternoon. Grumpy thought the grass (weeds  ) was still a little too wet, so we'll see. Broad bean picking too. Not as good a crop as normal, but picking every other day now.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everyone.

Another beautiful sunny day here, it almost seems like a waste, unless we're lucky enough to have gardens! Mick finally managed to mow our lawn - twice in the last week - so with the Spring flowers in their pots mine looks lovely. I might sweep the decking today, and maybe oil the wooden furniture (I do that every Spring) but it might be a bit early for that - don't want to tempt fate ;)I

I'm just about to check on D and Harry - I'll phone D and video call H. I'm hoping he's still feeling okish, yesterday evening he was well enough to play some online games 8-)

B has gone to work, as vets are staying open, but they are hugely restricting access. She's at the Longlevens branch for the foreseeable, so she doesn't have to use the buses - phew!

I'm doing an online Zumba class at 10, set up by our usual instructor, Jane. The Pilates class last night worked pretty well, so it should be ok. Then I will use my daily walk "allowance" to go and post a letter, and maybe pick up some milk, rather than defrosting one from the freezer - keep that for if we really need it. Otherwise it's laundry and ironing here :cute: ;)

Take care all, and have as good a day as you can. Special ((((hugs)))) for anyone needing them xxx

Morning all :D

Another bright and sunny day 8-)

Glad to hear H was feeling a bit better yesterday evening Kaz.

We managed to give the garden a good tidy yesterday, it was mainly dead leaves from our lovely palm tree, they were scattered everywhere. The garden bin is almost full, lucky they're due to collect tomorrow.

Nothing much planned for today, we might drive over to the cliff top for a little walk later.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Morning all. It's a lovely morning here, we might sit in the garden later if it gets warm enough.
Our daughter took Eliza to the hospital with a temperature and a cough yesterday, it turned out to be croup which was a relief.
We have food in but things could get a bit complicated as MrsC and her sis look in at their dad's regularly and also MrsC looks after Eliza regularly. How we are going to juggle that I don't know yet. Plus FiL has carers coming in so we are worried about them maybe bringing in germs, although I'm sure they are professional about things.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all!

We've slightly lost our "routine" with all the recent disruption, and waking early, I thankfully remembered I'd forgotten to put the food and recycling bin out last night! Mad panic for 5 minutes sorting things out, but luckily they don't tend to collect until late morning so I was able to put everything out. When they collect, I might see if I can make contact with our neighbours as there hasn't really been any "community chat" in the road since this crisis began. I guess I can offer emergency pharmacy and local shopping visits if anyone needs anything. I'll probably go to the shops once a week for fresh stuff; we'll just have to see how things develop …..

A bit of house cleaning and recommissioning the rotary washing line after the winter are the tasks for today.

Best get your garden bin as full as you can for collection, Jenni - Dorset Council have said that our garden waste collection will be the first one to be, well, binned if the waste collection department gets short staffed.

Glad your G/D's reasonably OK, Crommers

Take care all.

Morning all, it’s a pleasant day here. Edward has gone to play golf, he feels they might close the course altogether this week. I am feeling much more myself after a decent night’s sleep, hair washed, makeup on. I have a few things to do and I’ll get out for a walk. There is ironing to be done, but Edward has forbidden me to do it and who am I to disobey :cute: We are not on total lockdown here but new measures are to be announced later today. We are vaguely self isolating anyway, so can cope with any new restrictions. Oddly enough, the house isn’t any cleaner

Hello everyone, I have been ok today, surprisingly. I usually do an inward panic and have a cry in private but I think I am at an accepting phase - we're both ok-ish and all we have to do is sit in our comfy homes and chill......that will likely change if T doesn't do as he's told!

Regarding our work, we are classed as necessary, for now, so we are open with a locked door. No clinics essentially, just there to hand over people's specs/contacts. No appointments, just repairs and no new orders. We have a staff forum on FB and last night Boss was asking for any volunteers to go in to one of our two main shops for 4 hours a day, maybe 2 or 3 times a week to 'work' on our own doing the above. I've said I'll go and about 3 or 4 others have as well, those like me that don't have any little ones to care for or anyone who is vulnerable living with them. Might not happen yet, as I have another week of SI after this one and then who knows?!

Our animals are funny.....Charlie is wondering why I'm around all the time as usually it's just when I go into the kitchen where his food is kept that he follows me, and now it's all the time! He must be thinking - oh not teatime yet surely!!?? I've just had lunch!

Stay safe and well all xxx
