After all this time we should not need to be flagging these things up, but some people will not learn.

I mean the public not VVers, btw.

Just look at the "supposed" Westminster City Council site, which is cut short:

Name on card
Card number
Expiry date
Security code
Account
and no doubt more.

Why not go empty your account, put the money in a bag and leave it on a bench? Same outcome. :roll:

The scammers are out their making as much as they can in this climate.

I nearly got caught in one for transport to BA for my son. It was up to £1,800, reputation looked OK, I decided not to go with paypal but use the card. Blew the threat level on the card and when it failed, banged out to a 404 page written in Russian.

Nothing lost, something learned. When I had to pay £10,000 out I did a fully deep reputation search. This time it was OK and the payment went through no problem.

Preying on the helpless at this time is despicable and should be stamped on. Hard.
