Good afternoon all, Happy Easter :)

Groundhog Day here. That’s all there is to say really.

Crommers, we’re just entering Birthday month here. It’s my friend Ruth’s tomorrow, my sister’s in on the 23rd, the youngest nephew in Wales on the 28th, my Dad’s on the 29th, John’s is on May 1st, Joe will be 20 on the 8th and then it’s John’s Mom’s on the 10th.
I’ve sent Ruth a special lockdown birthday card which I saw online, I do feel guilty about presents though and Easter too, I usually see them with an Easter egg for Grace. I know there’s nothing that can be done about it though so it'll all have to wait until things ease up.

Have a good day all xxxx

I wish I'd thought of an online card order for my brother!! It only occurred to me last night, too late to get for today! I hadn't bought one from the shop before lockdown so he isn't getting one this year :( Feel so bad.

I have sent Harry an Easter egg, via Amazon, for the last few years, but I hadn't factored in the delivery delays this year and left it too late

Good afternoon! Groundhog Day indeed! Lovely warm sunny day here, light breeze, ideal for a leisurely trip to the coast - as if! :D We could certainly do with some rain, like you, Kaz - I've been watering the herb pots in the garden.

Another one with chicken for lunch, accompanied by our last Bramley Apple, two of our last three white potatoes, our last bag of mixed veg, and gravy. We have plenty of Bisto granules, and will be serving it on either rice, pasta, or baked beans in future, as far as I can tell. We do have several sweet potatoes and a bag of carrots left, so we will be making potato and carrot soup tomorrow. Real 1950's stuff!! I'm not venturing out on another shopping expedition till the middle of next week. My old work friend from West Dorset phoned utterly triumphant that he has secured a Tesco delivery slot. As far as I'm concerned, it's a bit choose your poison - I'd rather brave Waitrose (late afternoon / early evening for my next attempt) than spend a couple of hours trying to set up on-line ordering …. :|

We've just had our daily stroll round the block. More joggers and family groups out than usual, but we still managed to give everyone a wide berth. Take care, everyone!

Tesco emailed last week saying that they’d set up 145,000 more delivery slots....no idea where but it’s certainly not here.
