Well that was fun :Hi: :Hi:

Spent not too much in Lidl, Molly has a lot of treats  and then spent a lot in Aldi  Would love one of either here :D Proper cheddar cheese, curry sauces, chinese sauces and teriaki sauce, as well as almond oil and lots of lovely presunto. I'm in heaven

Very impressed with how the forests we drive through have been cleaned. Big machines are still operating in the eucy forests, to make sure the ground is cleared. Huge fire breaks along the road and a lot of trees taken down by the side of the road.

We were very naughty and stopped at the bar, for a cool beer and then ended up having three

Back home to find two enormous dogs, sat by the front door

Rang Jose Felipe (woke him up  ) as they're his and he was here pretty quickly. But the dogs like it here and kept jumping out of the truck  So he had to tie them in.

Molly still in hiding - his dogs and cats do not get on

Now going to do some prep for dinner, was able to buy some very reasonably priced asparagus, so something chickeny with that 8-)

Afternoon all, very dreary weather here today, fog coming and going with rain and drizzle. We were expecting our grocery delivery this morning, which came later than usual, so I got some ironing done. After lunch, we went to look at a house that Miss Osc and SIL are interested in, we didn't get inside but had a good look through the windows, they viewed it yesterday. It is a bank sale and at the right price, could be worth buying - but of course the bank has totally neglected it since repossession so a lot needs to be done and they do not have a huge budget. There were two others they mentioned which we just looked at from the road, we didn’t like the shape of one and the other looked very dark.

On the way back, we stocked up on fish which we’ve put in the freezer and now Edward has gone across the road to practise golf. Before we went out, I got my weekly phone call from the radiation doctor, who felt that the tiredness will gradually lift from now on, and oddly enough I do feel less tired  But I’m not going to push it by doing any more ironing ;)

Good afternoon everybody.

It is raining again. Bt no heavy rain. Liked the photo taken yesterday of a man in central London, in heavy rain on a bike using his mobile phone, wearing a T shirt, shorts and sandals. Roads have been flooded in south Manchester about 20 miles away.
Just been pootling again. Two men came this morning to install new cable as I am going to have Virgin. When they started pushing it through the duct from the cabinet at the end of the road, found there was a blockage. Said another gang would have to come and dig up the pavement and clear the blockage.
Have booked the intallation for next Thursday but this may be delayed.
I am changing as I will get a faster speed for broadband as well as TV package and any time phone calls for less than I was paying with BT.
Have had to put the CH on asit is getting cold even though it is the middle of June.

I'm going to meet up with Jen for a walk tomorrow!!!! :D :D I am soooooo excited!!! Kyle went back to work on Monday, technically freeing her up LOL so if it's not pouring down we'll meet up in town I think and walk. Hopefully we can get a takeout coffee somewhere, I can't wait!! :D :D

We've had another grey day with a couple of drops of rain here and there, the sun did try coming out this morning but it didn't quite make it :( I'm another that has been to Lidl today for grocery shopping!! It must be a grocery shopping day all round!

Had a nice chat on the phone with Jan, my old pal from work, this aft while Tom was out at work (his ONE call out this week!!) and had a clean up in the conservatory. I played some music while I was busy (where I'd normally have the radio on) and realised I have cassette tapes from so long ago - would my 25+ year old machine still play them since the conservatory is either blistering hot or freezing cold. Answer was - yes it did! 8-) I was in my element....but what do you do with old tapes and CDs? I have a storage box full of them (it looks like a small stool) but it's so rare I actually play music these days....

Ally enjoy your trip! Sounds fab!

Kaz does Mick not help with the shopping, esp when you're doing two lots?

Have a good evening all xxx

Gal, lovely news about meeting up with Jen, and that you've caught up with Jan :)

No, Mick hasn't since this all began. I decided there was no point in us both going into shops, especially as we have D to consider. It lowered our risk of picking it up - if we had to self-isolate who would look after D :? He isn't in a "shielding" group, but does take bp meds and I'm happier with it this way. Becky comes with me when she's off.
