What an afternoon

Postby JanB » 22 Jun 2020, 19:49

I have a problem with my ears, should really have gone yesterday, to see the doc, but being a stubborn ole biddy, I left it, thinking it might get better

Nope

E-mailed the surgery this morning, as I have no idea what's the procedure now. Isabel e-mailed me back, to say that "our" doctor was doing a free surgery this afternoon from 2.00pm.

Then I mucked up the screen on my laptop   It was sideways

As I'm a tad wobbly, with the ears making me a little erm, piddly?, Grumpy said he would take me in and have a beer at Sonia's bar, a friend of ours.

Dropped me off just before 2.00, we were actually allowed to register at 2.20pm. I was quite angry, as we're sat or stood in a tent, in the very hot heat and I was the youngest there :cute:

So, take your turn, no fee :Hi: , go the next window, sanitize your hands, (one nurse had to show a very old lady how to do it), your temperature was taken and you wait. I was the odd one out, as the only foreigner, so was chatting to all of them  We had a bit of a laugh, which was good, as it was unpleasant in there and it made the time go quicker.

Eventually called in - wait in the waiting room

I saw the doctor at 3.30  and was in there for half an hour  .

Never, ever go and see your new doctor  I have a rake of blood test to have, she wants me to see a specialist about Gladys, I have another appointment for 3 July (with Grumpy) and the nurse will then take my blood pressure, weight  and measurements - more

But, I have ear drops and medication, to sort out my ear, thankfully no infection.

Back for a beer, sent a text to a friend and I was able to sort my screen out, thankfully :Hi:

As one of them people I was chatting to said, we Portuguese have problems with the systems here, how you foreigners cope..... With patience, I said, it's our new home, we have to respect how it's done.

His reply was quite rude
