Hi everyone Contrary to most places we have had the loveliest day! Blue skies and sunshine, not especially warm, but perfect walking weather (and shorts!) - so we did a walk, along to Sugar Sands and a little bit further on, and back to have a sit on the beach for a while. We took a picnic....we sat on a patch of sand with a bit of an outcrop in front, the tide was wayyyyyy out....I was fascinated by the layers in the rock, took several pics (not only am I a train geek but also I think I must have been a geography teacher in a former life!) Just incredible.

Tom's been along to Foxton for a round of golf and I got my paintbrush out and painted the wooden bench that's on the decking outside, it's got quite 'weathered' despite covering it every winter, so now it looks great!

Crommers is your daughter still in this area? And enjoying the holiday?

Gal yes, today is their last day. They have had a wonderful holiday, mainly on the beach but today they went to Morpeth. They have had way better weather up there than we have had. They have been staying at a place called Eleanors Byre outside Embleton. They don't want to come home!

I can imagine!! It really is another world up here, so gorgeous!!

Embleton is a pretty village, close to Dunstanburgh Castle - I'm glad they've had a good holiday
