The rain in Leeds ...

Postby Workingman » 10 Jul 2020, 15:39

... falls mainly on the weeds.

Well except when it is falling on my Italian neighbour's daughter on the trampoline.

A bunch of the kids were taking turns and as she got on the heavens opened. She looked up, splayed her arms as Italians do, and with a shout of "Che due palle!" sat down and let the puddle form around her. 8-)

We Brits and Renata, her mum, just huddled under the gazebo, social distancing as best we could, and left her to it. :D

We have a green out the back and over the years various play items have appeared - climbing frames, slides, trampolines - those sorts of things. People move on and leave things behind.

Every so often the grounds' staff clear out the rickety or dangerous stuff but the good bits are left to be used.

It has been a strange day. Some super sunny periods broken by really heavy showers - April?

Then get yourself over here and stop mithering, we have plenty to spare. Bring a bucket or two to take back. ;) :D :D
