Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 03 Aug 2020, 06:41

Morning everyone

Blowing a hooley this morning, so feeling quite cool. a northern wind too  with a few clouds around too.

Washing in, will have to firmly secure the washing when it's put put  and will try and get some gardening done. Mostly dead heading, the ground is too hard to do any digging.

If it warms up and the wind drops we will get in the pool, otherwise, the cover will stay on ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, morning all

decidedly cooler here as well Jan and a bit overcast; the sun is trying to break through, but I think it may be a bit of a losing battle. Logged on early and caught up on emails, which means I can head to the allotment a bit later this morning when it's a bit warmer. That is a definite advantage of working from home, the ability to switch things around a bit, especially as so many are out on their summer holiday so it's quieter than normal.

More general pootling for me today; not sure what though :D .

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning everybody,

The sun is trying to come out. Hope to finish painting the fence today.

Our town has been mentioned on TV as one of the areas affected by the lockdown in Greater Manchester. We only go out for shopping.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

I hope your washing stays put Jan!

Ria, it's a beautiful sunny day here! Working from home has always suited Mick very well, and my Chris enjoys it too 8-) Glad it's working out so well for you :D

Cruiser, not much difference for you then? Stay safe xx

As mentioned, it's a gorgeous day here. Waiting to hear from Em, as we had tentative plans to go into town today, but she hasn't got back to me yet. No probs really, B is off work so we might do something :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine 8-) not sure if it will last, rain's forecast for later.

Brian the mechanic rang earlier, he's had trouble getting through to Suzuki. The pipes needed will take about a week to arrive and he'll give me another ring when they've arrived. He says they'll cost £80 plus labour of £40ish so not too bad hopefully.

Had an e-mail from my sister in Queensland Saundra, she says things are pretty much back to normal where she is in Noosa, but there is a small outbreak in Brisbane for the reason your friend mentioned. My other sister lives in Melbourne, this is from Sue's e-mail "Victoria is a disaster thanks to the stupid Victorian gov. using private security to guard hotel quarantine instead of the army, the guards then had sex with people in quarantine and now we have a major spread in Melbourne and regional Vic. They are now in stage four lockdown." Stupid seems to happen everywhere!!!

Need to whiz round the bungalow for a good dust and tidy up, after that weather permitting the garden and my kindle beckons.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all. Changeable weather here, when I was out for a walk earlier it was cloudy but warm. After I got home and was having my shower the sun came out, so I hurried to dry my hair, and prepared to spend some sometime outside reading - but of course, by the time I was ready, it had clouded over again  Today is Miss Osc’s wedding anniversary, hard to believe they have been married 18 years

Good afternoon, it’s cloudy here and we had a light shower earlier.

I’ve walked Bill, ironed, out another load of washing out which will hopefully be ironed later, hovered, dusted the bedrooms and now I think I’ll take Bill for another walk, just a short one this time though. I’m also trying to get through to the hotel restaurant down the lane for Joe. They’re taking part in this government eating out scheme and are doing a three course meal for £10 (it’s basically their normal menu that you choose from) and the food there is really excellent so he wants to take Amanda. No one is answering the phone though!

Have a good day all :D

Hi all. Busy day today.
Went to Ponte for MrsC to stop some standing orders from her dads bank account. Went to see her dad, went to Sainsburys and then to see daughter.
Soebody has managed to drive into a wall in our village today in a Freelander before driving off and half a mile away drive into some metal railings next to a pedestrian crossing, and flip their car.
Incredibly bad driving and at 1 pm in the afternoon. Luckily no one was on the pedestrian crossing at the time.
I hope you've all had a good day.
