Good morning Friday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 07 Aug 2020, 04:58

Good morning.

Popping in to say hi. :D

Absolutely loving being here with dad and Michele. :P Can't believe I've been here since a week yesterday!

Missing Don but we chat loads on WhatsApp. :D

Not missing the current heatwave in our region.... temps reaching 50 degrees + and people struggling to sleep. Even Don, who is a real heat lover, has said how hot it is.

I'm glad I'm here.

Sis is going to visit an old schoolfriend for the day.
Dad bought a new Karcher and is going to get busy with it. I'll sit on the swing seat with my Kindle and let the world go by. Lots of sunshine to enjoy too. 8-)

Hope everyone is OK.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

clouds this morning again  but they'll soon go and we'll have another warm day 8-)

Glad you're having a good time together Ally x

Hope D is feeling better this morning Kaz x

Gentle houseworkery stuff for me this morning, I'll waft a duster around and clean the bathroom. The rest can wait until it's cooler. Supposed to be from next week, but we were told that for this week too  Grumpy still playing with his wood

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and Jan, morning all

Ally, so glad you're having a good time with your dad and sis x.... 50 degrees? Crikey that is hot
Isn't WhatsApp just a wonderful thing - I love it and being able to do video calls with it. I know Apple, ie iPhones, have face time but Android phones don't really have that (at least that I know of) so WhatsApp is perfect!
Jan, don't overdo that wafting of the duster. I'm picturing you waving it about like a fairy wand

Not sure what today will bring - usual work bits and bobs; and may pop round to Karl and Nadine later today for a BBQ, but not sure yet - may just have a lazy home day. Going to be very hot today so I will put the chickens in the front garden as it's got more shade and space for them but that does mean I should be home by 7pm ideally because their coop where they sleep is in the back garden and they'll want to be in their usual run before bedtime. I'll see......

Have a lovely day every one x

Good morning all. A lovely sunny morning here. Yesterday we had a few hours at the seaside, at Hornsea. It was grey all over but then a crack of blue appeared in the south and the clouds (in almost a straight line) were pushed away to the north, leaving blue skies and sunshine. I suppose that was a weather front, I've never seen one so clearly before.
Yes, go steady with the duster Jan. I hope D is feeling better Kaz. Ally, I'm not sure that I would survive 50c! Ria, you are henpecked! (Boom boom!)

Have a good day all.

Afternoon all, the day started out dull but has cleared up nicely now - some cloud and breezy but warm. I was waiting for two packages to be delivered - both by DPD, one due between 10.24 and 11.24, and one between 10.26 and 11.26  , they both arrived at 10.36 :D I put on a wash, tidied around, brought Miss Osc’s post to her office, went to the library, the chemist and the post office. I’m meeting the gym girls for coffee at 1.30.

Afternoon all :D

Sunshine and hot, hot, hot 8-)

We told M to make the most of this lovely weather so they spent yesterday on our lovely Ramsgate beach. They got here at 4pm and stayed with us until 7ish. She had already said they would be eating out so we just opened a bottle of wine and had a lovely chat. Think they were off to Pizza Express, David's choice, and then having a walk around the harbour. They're off home today, but plan to do much the same and will be with us sometime between 4-5pm. Michelle plans to pop over to M&S to pick up food I can pop in the oven and they'll stay until after 7 again. They sensibly don't intend to set off before then so they can avoid all the heavy traffic.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Agreeing that WhatsApp is brilliant 8-) :D Glad you're having such a good time Ally - and missing out on those ridiculous temperatures  xxx

Well I spent the morning with D, she's still feeling rotten, but I thought she had a bit more colour in her cheeks today. Fingers crossed that the meds are kicking in. Got home, made Mick some lunch before he nipped off to pick Becky and Holly up from work as H's car had broken down! I've done a big pile of ironing - and I know, but it needed doing - and now have my feet up 8-) :)

Love to all :) xx
