Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 03 Sep 2020, 04:46

Good morning.

A very pleasant 32 degrees forecast. 8-)

Got back at 9 on Tuesday evening and been loving the fact I'm home and with Don. (We need a heart emoji)

I've got a meeting at the academy at 10am so I'll have a swim first before walking into town.

Jacob's coming over this afternoon for a couple of days and we're going out tonight for a belated birthday meal for me.

Have a great day. :P

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Bit dark at the moment  but the moon is glowing happily and we're in for a rather warm day later.

Up at 5.00 this morning, better than yesterday's 3.00

Bits and bobs to do later, I have a small pile of ironing to do - why is it, when its stinking hot, the ironing needs to be done, but when it's cooler, there isn't such a lot of it

Watering to be done, having to do it every other day again, now it's warmer

Treating ourselves to a fat juicy steak for dinner 8-)

Enjoy your late birthday dinner Ally x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning, it’s pouring down here.

I took Bill out for a walk while there was a bit of rain in the air, and he very sensibly cut it short by leading me down a different path to loop around to home when it started to come down a bit more, thankfully we got home just before the heavens really opened

It’s forecast to stop and brighten up a bit later so the washing machine is on. I’ve got to empty the living room of all but the furniture too as we start decorating in here tomorrow. John finishes work tonight for two weeks. It’s the first holiday he’s had this year and we’re hoping to get to a couple of the local open air museums, the Black Country one (we’ve got annual passes for there anyway) and Blists Hill at Ironbridge. I’ve never been there and I’m looking forward to going because Blists Hill is where my Nan was born. Plus they allow dogs there

Hope all went well for E!

Enjoy dinner, Al!

Steak sounds good Jan!

Have a good day all :)

What a sensible dog Jo! 32c would e good for us Ally, enjoy the dinner. Jan, we are having steak too. I hope all went well for E, Jen.
We had quite a bit of overnight rain, then a sunny start and now it is clouding up again.
I had a better night's sleep last night. When I was young I dislocated my shoulder and like the rest of my old rugby injuries it has now come back to haunt me. Silly game, they should have had us playing crown green bowls instead!
A quick trip to the supermarket shortly and then I'll be cooking a bolognese for the freezer.
Have a good day all.

Slight change of plan. I'm going into Ourique to meet this person who has a load of books, so I'll change my library books too.

Also take a load of stuff down to the bins  Grumpy had a clear of of the car port yesterday.

I'll have a swim when I get back.

Hope Scarlett enjoys her first day Saundra x

Morning all, it’s a nice day here, although there has just been a little sprinkle of rain from a passing cloud. Our grocery delivery arrived a bit late, but in fairness he did apologise. The drivers are always so friendly. I’m expecting something from M&S, I paid extra for it to arrive today and they have sent me a tracking number, but no sign of it on the An Post website :x I won’t be happy if it doesn’t arrive as I chose today because I knew there would be someone here all day.

It’s Thursday and we will have Michael and Kellie, woo hoo! I’ll collect Kellie from school, I have to wear a mask and stay socially distanced while waiting in the school yard. Michael won’t be here for long as he is playing golf with his other grandad, so I will drop him down to the golf club and Miss Osc or SIL will collect him. Jen, I hope Ed had a good night, and you too.

Afternoon all, thank you all for asking about E. Yesterday was traumatic, I've posted on the Health Board to save clogging up the morning thread.

Jan I have ironing too, but it's raining! :? xxx

Hope you and John enjoy his time off Jo :) xxx

Crommers, Mick has some of those old injuries too  xxx

Saundra, more than happy to post a pic when you get one :) I hope Scarlett enjoys school :) xxx

Hope your delivery turns up Osc! xxx

Will read on Health in a minute Jen xxx

It was an early start here, up to D's to get to Sainsbury's before it got busy. Since then we've had lunch and I'm about to start ironing our clothes to take to Devon. Becky had that tooth out I mentioned before, but is fine, just a bit sore. It's chilly and wet here, but the forecast for next week in South Devon is good - fingers crossed! ;) 8-)
