Arriva are pulling out of bus operations in Cannock, Jo.

Your local routes are going to be taken over by D&G Bus. I hope they've modernised a bit in recent years, otherwise be prepared for an invasion of smokey old bangers!

I’ll take that as good news, anything can be an improvement on Arriva. Their mechanics have a truck almost permanently on stand by in the bus station and if it’s not there it can usually be seen towing a broken down bus along the A34.

I went to get a bus in Stafford last year, it didn’t turn up and when the next one came 30 minutes later the driver apologised and said that they’d had 8 buses break down that morning.
