Both of the hairdressers in the salon this morning were wanting haircuts and colours but they haven’t had chance yet.

Ah well, I did get to town in the end. I went to see D, and could tell she was a bit nervous so offered to walk down to the HDs with her. There used to be two parking spaces right outside, but when they recently put in cycle lanes the spaces disappeared. D knows she could park on the yellow lines in the nearby side road with her blue badge, but said she didn't like to and was determined to walk :? It's downhill there, but uphill back and her breathing is NOT good nowadays. So I walked down with her, and decided to carry on into town seeing as I was nearly there. I had a cheque to pay in, a few bits I needed from Wilco, then I sat outside Nero's with a cuppa, people watching, which was quite pleasant as it was warming up :) I had offered to walk back up and meet D when she was finished, but D said she could manage. Amazingly just as I walked up past the HD's D came out! Incredible timing :?   So I did walk back with her, slowly, and stayed for a cuppa.

Mick has just left to collect B and Pepper, who apparently got on very well with her laser treatment 8-) The engineer is here, fitting the smart meter, and has been for the last hour. No Zumba tonight, I've done over 18 000 steps so really don't need to :cute:

Kaz, I'm curious how you get on with the smart meter (I assume it's a gas / electricity one?). I'm not sure if it's just because I'm home all the time now and doing loads more baking / cooking etc but my bills have gone up loads. I can't even really blame it on the heating because I've actually got the temperatures set lower than normal and I'm not washing nearly as much nor as hot....

Good afternoon.

After leaving my car for the MOT, I walked into the town centre. Went into Starbucks for a coffee. Used the toilet and found no soap in the dispenser and the hand
dryer didn't work. Told the young lady who served me with th4e coffee. When I asked how much she said it was free as I had reported the faults.
I did not expect that and it was very good customer service.
I sat outside people watching until the shops opened.
Then walked back to pick my car up. It had passed again.

We have a combined one too, we’ve only had it since October but it does make you more aware of how much energy is being used (and wasted). I’m often to be heard saying “Why’s that on red?” (one the features of the display unit is a traffic light system) and then running off to see who or what’s using excessive energy, if it’s not something in the kitchen of course.
