A lively lockdown lifting..

Postby cromwell » 13 Apr 2021, 18:44

There is a village next to ours called Walton. There is a pub there called the New Inn, it is very popular for families because they do food.
They decided that when they re-opened (yesterday) they would not bother with making people book tables outside because if it rains, nobody turns up but all your tables have been booked.
So come yesterday, everybody turned up.
Through the day they had three fights.
From now on, you have to book.

what madness..... booking or not, if it was raining; I'd not go. And even if there was a booking system in place there would be enough people just turn up in the hope they'd get a table. They were just being daft and are coming up with a silly excuse ;-)

Had to smile on Monday as we passed our nearest pub -all outside full and all wearing coats/hats /gloves drinking cold beer and in a freezing wind ,
