Good Morning Sunday

Morning everyone

Rather warm already 8-)

We've had several planes and helicopters going over this morning there is a large fire over by the coast

Hope Ally and dad doing okay xx

Watering done, takes about an hour to do everything and a lot of walking  We've thought of irrigation, but we wouldn't be able to dig down to hide the tubing in a lot of places, so exercise it is

Won't be doing a lot today. Will get in the pool a couple of times and do 100 lengths. 50 each time, with a sit down every 10 ;)

Leftover tuna salad for Grumpy, pasta for me. Had planned on a bbq, but will wait until next week, when it's a little cooler.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, from under the gazebo in the garden.

I got up at 6 to take Bill for a long walk before it got too hot. Just having coffee with John now before drying my hair and then I’ve got an eye test booked in town.

John’s had a negative PCR test, that’s not to say he’s out of the woods though as his apprentice called just before Midnight to say he’s tested positive and feels dreadful. He’s 21 and unvaccinated, he’s been worrying about the vaccine and was still thinking it over. John had a test because he’d been feeling tired but I think that’s down to the heat and the fact he’s been working 11 hour days.

Joe’s coming back shortly. He was supposed to come home yesterday after driving back from Cornwall with Amanda but decided to stay at Amanda’s last night in case John was positive.

Thoughts are very much with Ally and her Dad xxx

Hope the fire can be brought under control soon Jan :?

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :)

Jo, we're under the huge awnings outside Corretto's. Sitting under here yesterday was the coolest we'd felt for several days, it's deep shade from the flats above the cafe, so decided to do it again, Becks and Fraggle too  We'll be here quite a while, then Mick is fitting a new radiator for Doreen so we'll go round there. Definitely some sort of salad for later - probably with salmon for Mick and I have a crustless quiche in the freezer

Thinking of Ally and her dear dad xxx

Jo I hope John stays well, and that lad soon recovers. Such a shame he didn't get his first vaccine :( xxx

Jan, your swim sounds like heaven, apart from the 100 laps ;) xxx

Take care in the heat everyone :) xxx

Good morning everybody.

Going for the paper this morning found a large tree had come down blocking one of the main roads leading to Asda. There will be much fun and games as it is close to a set of
taffic lights and is used by HGVs to ge to unsudtrial units and warehouses.
After breakfast, finished the ironing, our shirts. Have now been weeding in the front garden. Sat still for a few minutes watching a bee collect
pollen from lupins. I wanted to cut some of the stacks which had stopped flowering and had seed pods.
It was hot. Had put suncream on my face and arms. Have come inside to cool down before I have lunch.
Have a good day everybody.

Good afternoon all. A lovely day here.
I hope Ally and her dad are ok.
Good idea with the early walk Jo. Stay cool Jan and you too Kaz. Saundra our back only gets the early sun. Cruiser, not many people have lupins nowadays. When I was growing up they were everywhere.
A lazy day here today. Beef for dinner.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Loving all this sunshine 8-)

Thinking of Ally and her dad.

We've had a nice lie in. I'll be doing roast chicken with salad for dinner later, strawberry blancmange and blackcurrant jelly for pud. Our garden is south facing so gets very hot, but we have two very large umbrellas that cover the patio nicely so we'll be out there for the rest of the day, bliss.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, another lovely day here and there is a tiny breeze that is wafting in through the windows keeping inside nice and cool. We headed out for a walk around 10.15 and were out for about two hours. Just finishing my lunch then I will sit outside and read, Edward is already outside watching the golf on his iPad. We’re supporting the South African Louis Oosthuizen to win, as his caddy lives around the corner from us. Right, I’m off out to the sun!!
