Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 11 Nov 2021, 06:42

Good morning.

Warm and sunny again.

I'm meeting up with one of my old work colleagues for a coffee mid morning.

I haven't seen her since June so looking forward to a good catch up.

Masterchef tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Misty start again, but another warm day forecast.

Cooking head on again this morning. Samosas and curry for Saturday 8-)

Grumpy will be watering the veg and pots, we'll do the garden tomorrow. The farmers were talking in the bar yesterday about the lack of rain. Then, of course, they moan when it does rain

Dilemma here. Masterchef or footie  We still haven't got round to getting a second tele

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally and Jan and good morning everyone :D

Jan, a very misty start to the day here as well but sun is trying to get through, meant to be quite nice actually - albeit the usual November temperatures.

Just sorting the kitchen, then getting myself ready for the day and heading to Sainsbury's - was meant to go yesterday but had a car issue so had to postpone to this morning. Besides that little trip it'll be a usual day of work and pootling.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, it’s a foggy one here but quite mild.

I’ve walked Bill and providing that John’s not stuck to his phone and laptop later we’ll take him out somewhere this afternoon. I fancy going to Barr Beacon over towards Sutton Coldfield, the views across the area are great from there but not if the fog doesn’t lift

We went to a local restaurant for lunch yesterday, both had fish and chips and the potions were HUGE. I didn’t manage to finish mine but from a few biscuits at 8pm we didn’t eat for the rest of the day

Have a good day all :D

Good morning all.
Nice and sunny here today.
Sometime today we are going to get a phone call to pick the car up from the garage.
At 1pm a police officer is coming to inspect my gun cabinet and Eliza and dobby the dog are due down here this morning, She will be staying overnight.
So quite a bit going on.
Also Sammy the squirrel has been trying to get at the birds' sunflower hearts again before making his escape along the back fence and MrsC has seen a parakeet in the neighbour's front garden. We've had two or three escape in the village this year. It's going to end up like the outback of Australia round here I tell you. I'm expecting Wallabies next.
I hope you and Bill get your walk Jo.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s dull and dreary here. I was up, dressed and sitting at my iPad by 8.50 as tickets to see The Eagles next June were going on sale at 9am. When I logged on to Ticketmaster, I was number 4,717 in the queue  but it moved quite quickly. Then when I got to paying, it said there was something not right with the credit card even though everything was right, so I had to whip out the debit card. The stress! But I got there. One of our favourite country singers tours as part of The Eagles, and our favourite country band is playing support. It’s not until next June.

On with the rest of the day now :D Going to a dance practice this morning, then back before Michael and Kellie get here after school. My sister has what appears to be a vitreous gel detachment in one of her eyes and has an appointment today at an eye clinic. I offered to drive her but she said she would get the bus. Because of Covid she couldn’t just go to the Eye and Ear emergency department, she had to be referred and then given an appointment. I had the same thing some years back, it’s frightening when it happens but not dangerous like a detached retina.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast again

Had to get up twice in the night, but in spite of that actually slept really well. Finally woke up an hour later than it's been since coming out of hospital. Had a bit of a funny turn after my shower, but feeling a lot better now. Actually sitting at the desktop, don't think I'll manage for long, but it's nice to have a big screen for a while.

E popped a casserole in the slow cooker so it should be an easier day for him. His other hip is beginning to play up, obviously not as bad as the one already done, but it's going that way. I'm just having a general potter, no lifting or bending, but I do need to move around every hour or so.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Well that was fun.... :D :D :D

Good morning all.

I had just put the kettle on at about 8:15 when there was a knock on the door. There stood an orange man with reflective tape everywhere and a hard hat on.

"You might have noticed the water pressure is down. We had to do it to lessen the leak from the builders cracking the pipe. We are turning it off at about 9 so fill bowls and kettles - should be back on by noon. Byeeee...."

At least they came round and warned us.

The bulders have been a menace. It is not long ago since they chopped the electric cable. It has taken them almost two years to build eight small bungalows on two micro sites where our off street car parks used to be.

Water's not back yet so i'll have a sandwich and a drop of milk and then go recover the phone from the phone shop.

Have a good one peeps, and Jen, just take things easy.

Afternoon everyone :)

Busy day again here, Sainsbury's this morning with D and loads of housey/washing/ironing this afternoon. Got sausages and mash on the go for the family, but I've had some home made butternut squash soup, as it's Pilates tonight.

Jen, take care. Glad you're sleeping better xx

It's a nuisance when the water's off, isn't it Frank? xx

Hope you had a nice catch up Ally xx

You definitely need another telly Jan ;) xx

Waves to Ria xx

Jo, our local chippy gives enormous portions too, one portion of chips feeds three, and three healthy appetites too!

Crommers there are loads of "wild" parakeets in the Home Counties nowadays, they'll need extra feathers for a Yorkshire winter ;) xx

Osc I hope your sister's eye problem gets sorted easily. Sending my best xx

Glad your meds arrived Saundra xx

Love to all xxx
