Ria, it is an Acer Aspire 3 with Win11 64bit, quad core i5 CPU, 8GB of ram, a 256GB solid state drive, 15.6 inch screen etc, etc.

Unfortunately I am finding that some of my old software will not run so that will stay on the old Aspire and I will just have to buy new. Sod's Law.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, but I'm betting it's a tad chilly.

Sounds as though the walk in centre is on the ball Ally.
Jan good luck in Pingo.
Have fun with the new laptop WM.
Cruiser we'll be running round the bungalow with duster and hoover tomorrow.
Have fun with the baking Ria.
We haven't had our cards from Oz yet Saundra, wonder if they'll arrive in time.
We saw a chap in shorts and t-shirt yesterday Crommers, madness!!

Expecting a Sainsbury's delivery between 12-1, their e-mail says 4 items are out of stock, not a problem, but I will have to check the dates on the cream and vegan stuff for Zoe on Boxing Day. Tesco tomorrow so fingers crossed anything not suitable today can be added to that delivery.

Hairdresser for me at 3.15pm today, not looking forward to it, but my hair really does need doing, just hope it's not too manic. Z&M plus boys are driving home from Edinburgh today, expect they're on the road now. They made it up there in good time so fingers crossed today's trip is a good one.

Hope you all have a good day Image

Morning all, it’s a miserable day here, windy, cold and intermittent rain. Miss Osc messaged earlier to ask if I would be a second witness to two wills - usually she would ask someone in the other offices but there is very few people in this week. So I went to do that, then went to take money out in the post office and buy tissues, now back home. Edward has mince pies in the oven so the house smells nice, and now he is icing the Christmas cake. This afternoon, I’ll be going to a funeral home to pay my respects to my sister’s friend’s mother who died a few days ago. The supermarket shop is due later in the afternoon. Off to clean the bathrooms now, my life is so exciting :D

Afternoon everyone :)

Cold and dark here today, no sign of the promised sunshine :o Went into town to meet my friend J, and exchange gifts. I bought my last present - some aftershave for Mick - not that he does shave, but it makes his beard smell nice    Then popped into D's as the Somerset in-laws were there, along with their bonkers Vizla dog, Wilson  Boy, he's a handful, not my kind of dog, I like sweet-natured cuddly ones ;) :D Contemplating cleaning the oven

Ally, the queues go down really quickly here too in the Vax centres :D Hope you enjoyed your breakfast :)

Enjoy playing with your new laptop Frank, take care mate, just seen your post about your Becky (((((x)))))

The walk-ins are great Cruiser, you're doing a great job there :D

Good idea about the oven Ria :D

Glad Pingo was quiet Jan :D

Glad your card arrived Saundra :D

Crommers, youngsters don't seem to feel the cold!. :?

Hope the hairdressers went ok Jen :)

Can I borrow Edward, Osc? ;) Nobody else here cooks :x :?

Stay warm, everyone xxx

Hi all, had my last day of working today until Jan 4th :) Ihave a funeral to go to tomorrow ( the lady whose job I got when she retired, she was 94!) and a drs appt for a blood test. I’m a bit frustrated as funeral is 10.15, drs appt 12.40 but I also need a food shop and a few last minute gifts, so my morning will be mostly waiting for time to pass as it’s not worth going to town until after my blood test :( I’ve still half a dozen gifts to wrap as well and a full house to clean!! Grrrr!!

Freezing here, no sun since Friday :( but the shortest day has been so hopefully it will start to get a bit lighter earlier each day ;)

It's the prep for Christmas that gets to you, isn't it Gal? :? :x I know I find it a chore these days! :?

I hope the funeral goes as well as can be expected, and the blood test is ok.

Thanks Kaz, yes it does overwhelm me a bit sometimes. It always seems to get done though!!

I’m sure it’ll all be fine, I’ve had one of my bp meds changed so it’s to check my kidneys are coping ok with the change ;)
