Horrible situation WM, thinking of you and sending loads of vibes.

I know exactly how you feel with the distance and the inability to "be there" for your child.

She is in medical care, kidney stuff is fairly well known, but hard to trust that they will get her recovered.

All the normal advice goes out of the window, you can't avoid the worry and won't rest until she is on the path to recovery.

Hang tough and know we're thinking of you and wishing for the best speedy recovery.

Thank you everyone, you are so good.

Just heard from Becks. She has been on drips for salts, vitamins and anti-somethings overnight and will continue today and tonight. She could be released tomorrow but will be on a 28 day course of meds, but no drinking. Bloods will be locally monitored during that time.

A relief, of sorts, but I do worry about diet, given the above.

Becky is a vegan, nothing wrong with that, just to be clear, but if they are not careful they can have nutritional problems. I know what she is like, planning wise. You then get a urinary tract infection and it tracks to the kidneys, which is what she is saying has happened to her, and the problems start - hence the drips / supplements / drugs.

Fingers crossed that the worst is over.
