Afternoon everyone.

It is howling a gale here and chucking it down, I hope it is not the same for Gal at the wedding.

It is so bad I cancelled the shop and am watching the rugby instead.

Got rid of my steam mop years ago and got one with micro-fibre stick on pads and a built in spray bottle for the cleaning fluid. Once done rip off the pad, wash it, dry it and it is ready for use again. It came with three so they are always on the carousel - 1 in use, 1 drying, 1 ready to go again.

A bit late but enjoy what is left of the day. xx

Lovely afternoon, down at the bar. Nuno, their son was there, Jose had killed a pig this morning and Odette needed to be in the stream, cleaning all the innards And they had a lunch booked and a dinner.

Lovely to see Asvelgo, the old bloke who lived near the bar. It was his family having lunch. His wife died just over a year ago and the family took him in. He told me that he'd had his life and was now ready to go So sad.

And what a shock. Antonia has moved back into her house. The lady she rented it to has moved back to Germany and she's now moved back in. To the annoyance of her near neighbours, as she has a very loud, uncontrollable dog, who barks all day and night. Oh, I know that feeling

Cold now, fire lit, curry will be warming up soon.

We’ve booked ourselves a couple of nights away in two weeks time Someone we know is running a tea dance in Cobh, Co. Cork - my brother lives there and usually we would stay with him, but we fancied a treat and got a good deal at a nice hotel for b&b plus dinner on one night.

The funeral was huge today. With many others including his family, we walked up the street behind the hearse from their house to the church. His schoolmates were there in their uniforms, as were his sisters schoolmates, also in their uniforms. The school rugby and GAA team in their strip formed a guard of honour into the church. I would say few recognised his very well known grandmother, she walked with the family, just a grieving granny. We didn’t go into the church, but it was crammed. We knew one of the funeral guys and Edward asked him if they had seen an increase in the numbers of men committing suicide - he said “most certainly” Yesterday alone, they had three such funerals and then this one today

Why Osc, why, that's such a concern.

I'm not surprised about more suicides in this day and age everyone is being so stressed with covid and no clear pathway to follow

It wasn't pouring all day, but the wind was horrendous, and we got sun and rain....but we were inside all day so no worries! Thank you all so much for your good wishes, I'll post on a separate thread all about it (you'll wish you never asked ) I will post pics on our FB page as I never know how to do it properly on here

Osc that's so sad.....that poor young man, how tortured must people be to not want to continue their lives, and as has been said, it's so hard to be a young person these days
