Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 05 Apr 2022, 06:34

Good morning.

Sunny now but showers forecast for late afternoon. :cute:

Off for a walk shortly. Jackie really enjoyed yesterday's yompette and is coming with me again. I've converted her.

Last night was fabulous with the boys and turned into a celebration as Jacob's offer on an apartment in Malaga had been accepted. :cute:

Don needs a shirt for the funeral next week so we're going to los patios where there's C&A and Carre Four.

Relaxing when we get home. Yayyyyy.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

I enjoy my morning walks when I go out for them (very weather dependent :D ); hopefully Jackie will keep it up when she's back home. Admittedly yomping through the Spanish hillside is a very different thing to yomping in a suburban neighbourhood :D :D :D

Another dreary and dull day here. Going to do the usual mix of work / pootle and use my lunch break to head to the allotment for a bit. It's usually very quiet there when the weather is like this so easy for me to avoid people :D

Jan, you were asking yesterday how I was feeling - in all honesty I've had regular colds much worse than this. All I have is a nose that alternates between stuffy and runny, but that is it. No aches / pains / fever - nothing. Usually with a cold I'd also have mild tonsillitis but don't even have that. Every so often a bit of a dry tickly cough. I'm definitely one of the lucky ones - maybe not totally asymptomatic but very close to it.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Dull, grey, bit blowy and hopefully more rain to come 8-) Rained all night :Hi:

Glad you're feeling okay with it Ria xx

A day for getting up late, staying inside and doing nowt. I've taken various leftover curries out of the freezer for tonight, so that's me being a sloth today

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dullish here and occasionally drizzly. Edward has headed out to play golf anyway. Today I need to ring our travel insurance company to claim for our flights last week, also the bathrooms need cleaning. Anything else I will do as it occurs to me! For once, I am quite impressed with Ryanair, I phoned them yesterday about a letter confirming our no show for our flights, and she said I would have it within 24-48 hours which was fine, but I actually got it two hours after my call!

Morning all :D

Rain overnight, nice and sunny now 8-)

Enjoy your walk Ally.
Glad you haven't been affected too much Ria.
Your day sounds like mine Jan.
Not often you hear good things about Ryanair Osc, well done to them, credit when it's due.

Well yesterday's phone call with the RNOH was a success, E will get his bloods done after the MRI tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon everybody.
Went to have my feet checked this morning as I am diabetic. Again no problems. Have also booked to have a pedicure on Friday. Should have had it
last week but got my dates mixed up with visit to the Bridgewater Hall.
Will be doing some more ironing this afternoon, shirts and sheets which were washed yesterday.

It is cloudy but has stopped raining. Still a cold wind. Felt it on my face when I was walking back from the bus. Don't use the car unless
I go for a big shop.
I have boought some seeds which I hope to grow. Includes lettuce as I like salads.
Have a good day everybody.

Good afternoon.
It's brighter now than it was this morning.
Our cul de sac has not been resurfaced but it has been dug up. There is a hollow and a bump down the bottom end where it looks like a drain might have collapsed.
So a load of heavy plant vehicles have arrived and there is a big hole in the road.
There is something very British about having a big hole in the road with blokes in hi-vis jackets looking into it and sucking their teeth!
MrsC is still rough. Eliza's other grandparents have had to cancel their holiday to Benidorm. Val isn't over Covid yet, she's still worn out and couldn't face the traveling, the chaos at the airports and lugging the luggage around. A pity but there you are.
Good news about E, Jen.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, great news on the flat! :D xx

Ria, really pleased you’ve not got too poorly with the virus (((x)))

Osc, that’s good! :D xx

Jen, that’s great about E 8-) xx

Crommers I have that Bernard Cribbins song in my head now! :cute:  Sorry to hear about all the poorly people, shame about that holiday: :( xx

It’s been sunny here, on and off - more off than on, to be honest, but at least it’s dry. I walked into town, then up to have a sandwich with D, then home. Almost 13k steps under my belt, but not sure it counts as a yomp ;)

Love to all :) xx
