Hope you’re both starting to feel better Os X

Me, John and Joe had it back in late January. Despite working in a school Tom has somehow managed to avoid it, and he’s spent the weekend with Shannon and her parents a day or so before they all tested positive.
I got off the lightest, the worst of my symptoms (aches, shivers, blocked nose and headache) lasted a couple of hours before I had a nap and woke up feeling almost back to normal.

There are a few cases in John’s office again and Joe said that Amanda tested positive on Tuesday, good timing I suppose as they’re due to go to Kos in around 4 weeks.

Becky had it, we think Harry had it before testing was available so can't be sure, my friend Emma and her whole family, one of my sister's in law, one nephew........Lots of acquaintances locally, it's been rife here lately.

Add my sister, brother-in-law and niece (I forgot they'd had it), and just this week another brother-in-law.

I've got it too, tested positive yesterday. So far I feel like I have a bad cold, but am finding it hard to get warm.

I just posted to Shell on the health board.

It is so hit and miss. There are three adjacent blocks of four flats here, so about 30 people. Everyone has had it except for me Sally and John. S&J walk their dog in the local cemetery, which is where I take my daily walk. We are either immune or the undead. Son and DiL had it, Lyra didn't.

Some have had it more than once, Ally a teacher and Em a nurse.

Thanks again for your kind thoughts. Amazing the way we're all getting it now ....

Mrs O is coming up to 6 days, and is pottering around during the daytime, but has no real energy and is going to bed around 7:00. She still has outbreaks of the classic symptoms.
Master O has been on the phone and sounds a lot better. He has done his "end of period" re-test, but the second "positive" line is still there at the moment, albeit very faintly.
I just feel wrung out, still have a chronic cough (and bringing up flem but not badly discoloured), the occasional drippy nose, and sleeping most of the day - classic headcold symptoms.

I think basically it's a question of gritting your teeth for the "long haul". Thankfully, we were fully stocked up with basic provisions.

I'm sorry you are still struggling so much Ossie. I honestly feel like I have a cold that I am now getting over. I did give it to Tim's aunty who is 73 and extremely vulnerable. When I saw her Monday I had absolutely no symptoms so not sure why I feel so guilty. She had very unusual symptoms, nausea, dizziness and fainting but she is feeling better today and has declined her anti virals for now, but the hospital will ring her every day until she tests negative. The face she is ok is very reassuring. I also appear to have given to our friend Nigel who we quizzed with Tuesday.

We're both over the worst of it now, I think, well, enough to contemplate cooking a Sunday lunch tomorrow.
At least to the extent that I started today to deal with some of the incoming post over the last few days, including one from the Skipton Building Society that hasn't done anything for my blood pressure ....
Hope Tim's aunt and your friend are fully on the mend now.

Glad to hear you're over the worst of it Ossie. It does seem to effect people in different ways. Youngest daughter and the boys had it, but SIL who works from home was fine.
