Dog and cat names

Next door on one side had a Jack Russell called Russ, the other side had a Labrador called Honey. They also had cats but I can’t remember what they were called despite having a scar on my hand from where one scratched me when I was 3.

My best friend had a mongrel, a little black terrier type, called Susie.

John’s dog when I first met him was Mindy, the next dog they had was Bess.

I wasn’t allowed a dog or cat, we only had budgies (and the occasional hamster) when I was growing up. They were called Pip and Bill.
