Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 26 Oct 2022, 05:00

Good morning.

Glorious sunshine and 29° forecast. 8-)

I'll be off for a walk early to dodge the rays.

I'll have a swim later and crack on with my reading.

BBC 4 this week are showing classic beeb comedies.
Last night I watched the Liver Birds (with an insanely young John Nettles  ) Bread, Ever Decreasing Circles and Ab Fab. Brilliant.

Tonight's feast includes Are You Being Served, Vicar of Dibley and One Foot in the Grave.

Have a great day.

I'm free Mr Rumbold....

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Bonkers weather here too at 28C later and a warm week  The local farmers are not impressed 8-)

Woken up at 5.00 by Molly wanting an early breakfast, then Grumpy at 6.00, moaning about a mozzie attack. Went into the other bedroom and managed to doze for a couple of hours.

Busy morning. Off to Ourique to have my flu and covid booster at 10.01   (that was another wake up at 3.40 this morning, by the phone beeping at me, with the message  ) then to see Manuel, to pay the house and car insurances (ouch). Then the supermarkets and chemist.

Pit stop on the way back for coffee and brandy. Well, Grumpy had a large brandy after his jabs, so I'll be doing the same  Maybe ;)

Taken some pasties out of the freezer for dinner, so that's me sorted.

I'll also buy a load of stuff to start making things for the freezer, so I won't have to worry about eating when I get home from hospital. Tins of the rubbish Grumpy is happy with is not for me.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast

I love all the old comedies Ally.
Hope you don't have to wait too long for an op date Jan x
Gosh you've been busy Cruiser.

Up at silly o'clock, we both have the dreaded Dentist this morning. It's only check ups, fingers crossed she doesn't find anything that needs doing.

We've decided to do M&S afterwards, might as well, it's hairdresser tomorrow and I don't fancy leaving it until Friday.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all.
One foot in the grave was hysterically funny.
A sunny morning here. We have Eliza.
I am waiting for a chest x-ray to be arranged. I reckon somebody has forgotten, again.
You have been busy cruiser. I hate mozzies Jan. Hope the dentists goes ok Jen.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all, we are just home having been to my sister’s friend’s funeral. I’m not into religious funerals, but the priest was very good indeed. He was very aware of the palpable sense of numbness and grief in the church, and didn’t waffle on as they normally do. We didn’t go to the crematorium as we are needed to look after Kellie today and Michael is coming for dinner too. We went to a nearby shopping centre as I wanted to get some wool and we had a cuppa and a scone. I slept badly last night, so have time for a chair nap before going to collect Kellie.

Afternoon :)

Sorry to be tardy, but I've been out all day. First to meet my friend J for a cuppa, then as I was coming away from that, Em messaged to ask if I fancied a cuppa in town, as she had a couple of deliveries to pick up in M&S. Fine by me I said, as that's exactly what I was doing at that precise moment   So I waited for her in the cafe, and we had a wander.

I actually got a couple of Christmas stocking fillers, and also picked up some chicken legs and veggies in the Foodhall. Walked up to D's after that, to meet Mick and Fraggle up there. She'd been baking, so we got a slice of cake each 8-)  Zumba tonight, so should manage to work it off :D

Ally, perfect viewing there :) xx

Hope your jabs went ok Jan xxx

You're a busy bee Cruiser xx

Hope the dentist went well Jen, we're going on Friday xx

Fingers crossed for that appointment to come soon, Crommers xx

Glad all went as well as could be, Osc xxx

Love to all xxx
