Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 17 Aug 2023, 05:41

Good morning.

Being by the Nerja coast means a lovely sea breeze. :D

The forecast for our area is having another spike nudging 40° from tomorrow for a few days. This heat is crazy and seems never ending and having started months ago.
(And that's with me escaping for a month! )

We'll have breakfast then a walk on the beach. :D

Heading home around noon.

I'll catch up on last night's Masterchef on iPlayer before tonight's edition. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely cool morning and warming up soon.

We're in for another mini heatwave from Sunday  but today will be a mere 33C

Which is good, as I somehow or other took out a pork loin joint from the freezer yesterday, instead of chicken breasts

Cooking head on today, as Grumpy has requested curry  for Saturday, so I'll make that today and I'll also make a batch of samosas, so they can go in the freezer.

I'll be heading for the pool, after that lot and he's doing more car port stuff.

I bashed my arm yesterday, against the corner of the work top and have made a right mess of my arm. Because of all the medications I used to take for the UC, my skin is paper thin and I have managed to rip a huge chunk off  Looks a right mess, but a dip in the pool will sort it out ;)

How's E doing Jen?

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Another lovely sunny day 8-)

Enjoy Nerja Ally.
Ouch Jan, that must be very sore, time to have an easy day xx
Don't overdo it in the garden Cruiser.

Up a bit earlier as we're off to Westwood Cross and M&S. Ed came into town with me yesterday, his biggest outing as there are a lot of cobbles, but he managed really well. I bought him a thumb and wrist support which incorporates a splint for his thumb, makes it easier for him to use his crutches. Should help when he graduates to a walking stick too. Worked a treat hence coming out with me again today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s dry, cloudy, breezy and quite muggy.

Bill had a lovely long walk first thing and then I went for a run.

Tom was just getting ready to leave when I got back, he was going into work for a bit. He’s doing some work and research for next term and the school internet is more reliable. We’ve been getting power cuts all week in our area, two or three a day. It’s causing a lot of problems for people who work from home.

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon.
Into Pontefract again this morning, we have a Quaker Oats crisis; MrsC is down to her last two packets.
The fish man has just been too; we'd forgotten it was Thursday!
I'm glad E is coming along Jen. 33 is too much for me Jan, never mind Ally's 40c. I bet Bill enjoyed his walk Jo. Are his eyes completely better now?
The rain we've had seems to have been good for the weeds, Cruiser. Enjoy your quiet afternoon Kaz.
I'll get out to spray a couple of weeds too.
Have a nice day all.

Crommers, his peepers (as we refer to them to him) are amazing! There’s not a single squirrel, rabbit, fox or deer which goes unnoticed
He’ll always need drops, one to keep inflammation down and another which just keeps his eyes hydrated, but he’s absolutely brilliant about having them and even knows when he’s due to have them, he comes and stands by the cupboard at ‘droppies time’
